"I’m so thankful that I found this motel. It is older, nostalgic. Gives it a very homey vibe. The rates are affordable especially with inflation. The manager “Betsy “ is a sweetheart who goes out of her way to make sure that you are taken care of. A little more southern hospitality heart. And she doesn’t put up with people who disrespect the rules of safety and security for all the people who stay there. Bring your paw babies they are welcome too. I’m old fashioned and this place has that feeling of a second home. I have stayed in the ritzy motels and hotels and they are always too busy to care about your needs and pets and they cost a fortune. Kudos to Betsy for making sportsman motel a number one place to stay. There’s even a handwritten note by your bed from her stating,” Welcome and thank you for staying here “ now that’s down home love. ❤️"

"Betsy the manager is awesome definitely treats you like family. They are continually doing small upgrades to the rooms. Stayed in a 2 bed room and it was clean and spacious with mini fridge and microwave"

"Mrs Betsey is the best manager you can have. The place looks rough on outside but the rooms are nice. Downsides are WiFi is weak and you cannot control the AC. The weekly rate is good and if you have boats or campers they have powered spots to park those as well."

"Not bad in a town where finding a decently priced room that allows pets is next to impossible. No, it's not the Holiday Inn...but it is a nice quiet, clean, affordable place to get some rest after a long day. Location and layout is perfect for travelers with pets."
