River District Hotel

"Nice hotel. Everything was clean & comfortable. The staff were so helpful & friendly...a very unusual (in the best possible way) experience in this day and age. The breakfast was good. They had Christian music playing in lobby...peaceful and comforting in this crazy world. Good coffee in lobby, along with delicious hot chocolate bar. It’s very obvious the owners and staff take pride in this hotel."

"Simply great! We’ll definitely tell everyone heading to the area (even people on the street) to stay here…highly recommend! From the free ice cold bottled water at check in to the cheese and crackers in the relaxing great room. Very comfy, clean room and amazing cooked to order breakfast!!"

"This place is amazing! Prompt check in with two free bottles of water. A very nice room. Welcoming cheese and crackers in their spacious lobby. Ice cream from 7 - 8:00 PM. Complete breakfast with made to order omelets, French toast, and pancakes. Pluse biscuits and gravy, cheesy potatoes, sausage, bread pudding, a variety of muffins, cereal, and fruit. Just amazing. Wonderful service from all staff. This was our first time there but certainly not our last. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops."

"Nice place and location. Clean and good services. More than your average hotel continental breakfast, with the addition of an omelet/french toast station! Ice cream social at night is a neat little touch also. Walking distance to the river or short 1 minute drive to the river walk a little further down. Just an FYI, if you're planning a trip during the week to Prairie du Chein, know that most of the stores/bars/restaurants are closed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. We found out the hard way and had to improvise."
