Lake Road Campground

"Booked both Cottage 1 & 2 and found them to be very cozy and comfy. We had a wonderful time! Campground is well maintained and peaceful. Brought my 2 small dogs and they enjoyed the "Dog Park" onsite, which was so convenient. Location perfect for sightseeing, hiking, biking. Plan to return!"

"This campground is very welcoming and well kept. A wonderful location for biking and hiking to various locations. Extremely clean bathrooms. Great area for fishing and nice restaurants close by. Also, a BIG bonus was free fire wood to burn. Thank you for your hospitality. My husband and I truly enjoyed our time with you."

"Trisha and Brad run a great operation. The park was very clean and well maintained. The bath house was also very clean and modern. The RV pads are gravel and level. The cabins were very clean and surprisingly stylish for a campground cabin. Free passes to the local pool also helped keep the kids happy!"

"Overall a great campground! Spent four nights there recently and was very pleased with the area and things to do nearby. Bathrooms/showers were clean, very well maintained. Would give a 5 star review but just a few small issues to be aware of. No dump station on site was noted on the website but didn't think too much of it at the time. After a hike in Perrot the day before we noticed just how far in we would have to drive to get to the dump station from the campground. Packing up and everyone tired from a busy weekend made the idea of driving 10-15 minutes into the state park not so fun, and another 10-15 minutes back out to head home. Ended up finding a Loves truck stop on the way home rather than 30+ minutes the other direction. Was pleasantly surprised by the free firewood, but quickly found most of it to be a combination of unseasoned/wet wood that didn't make getting a fire started very easy. Had to end up buying some dry wood to get fires going then was able to use the wood piled up at the campground. The last issue totally out of the control of the campground are the freight train horns. The camper a/c did a decent job of drowning them out, but if you're a light sleeper, be aware of several throughout the night. Still, very happy with our stay and if we find ourselves back in the area we will definitely consider coming back here!"
