"We got to our room about 7 in the evening totally exhausted from doing inventory of my mother in laws estate. We only turned on 1 small light. I went to take a bath and tub and shower walls were covered in hair so I rinsed it and just took a sower. I then found a dirty towel on the back of the door. The bathroom floor was covered in hair. We went right to bed without turning on any more lights but I thought the sheets looked pretty wrinkled for clean sheets. After being in bed about a half hour I had to go sleep in the other bed due to the bed sagging so bad we kept falling into each other. The next morning I found all kinds of hairs in my bed. Both mirrors looked like they had not been cleaned in a month. The floor did not get vacuumed. The dust on top of the headboard was thick. The real kicker was when I went to grab my pop out of the fridge there was a half gallon of milk that had been expired since February 21st it is now March 6th the fridge was filthy. We went down and talked to the desk girl and got a deer in the headlights look we told her we wanted the entire room cleaned including clean sheets. I had put a kleenex under the sheet at the foot of the bed. We did not get clean sheets. Unfortunatly cobblestone was full. Needless to say they get a -10 rating and I will be driving to another town before I give them 130 a night. Half hour after posting this we can't get the TV to turn on."

"The room was not cleaned. There was a opened 1/2 gallon of milk in the fridge 3 weeks expired. The shower was filthy with a used towel on the back of the door. The mirrors were covered with splatter marks. The carpet was not vacuumed. We talked to the person at the desk about the issues and got a blank stare. They did clean the room, however did not change the bedding. With high room rates, just know that we will tell everyone not to support them. Go elsewhere"

"I booked a room for my wife's birthday when we arrived there was a posting on the door the pool and hot tub were closed do to HVAC work being done very big disappointment because she was looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub The lady at the front desk wasn't very polite poor customer service when we got to are room there was black tape over a screw on the wall went to turn on the TV and nothing so looked and the TV cable was disconnected while sitting on the bed we noticed brown stains on the top sheet so we mentioned to the lady at the front desk what we found And the response was oh okay there was no grab bars on the walls in the shower and the water head leaked very disappointing weakened never again are we staying at the American inn in Ladysmith"

"Stayed one night at Ladysmith location. 1. Hot tub & pool shut down until further notice. Never mentioned during call previous day when making reservation and my husband even said a hot tub is gonna feel really good tomorrow night. 2. No elevator only steps to 2nd floor. When asking if we could get 1st floor after checking in early, nope all rooms are assigned. I currently am having lung issues so climbing steps is extremely difficult to do. 3. No ice machine that we could find. 4. Found electrical tape on wall covering up a screw. Made sure it wasn't a hidden camera??? Cable to TV wasn't hooked up all channels were snowy. We had to hook it up ourselves. Stains on bed comforter asked to have it changed, hopefully will be done when we get back to room. Very disappointed in this location and will not stay here again. American inn owes us a refund that's for sure!"

"Room is clean, continental breakfast is good. My poor service rating is only on front desk. Manager is only one who tries. Other staff messed charges by over $400.00. Had to call to see what is going on. Told staff don't know what there doing. I asked why is this my concern, as I"m the customer, over charging you don't think will cause a issue. Then I'm told, yes there will be credits coming, just a serious pain, as we all have bills , and messing our available credit can be painful . Front desk lady really has a non friendly attitude. She doesn't belong in that area."
