Morton's The Steakhouse 735 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90017

"The steak was one of the best I’ve had, shrimp cocktail as well. The chicken not so much. Was a little dry and they put the smallest amount of sauce underneath to accompany it. All of the sides are an extra charge, and although everything we ordered was good, to be honest I’ve been to much nicer places and paid less. Waitress was great until the end where we sat waiting for her to notice us for about ten mins.. which really wouldn’t be an issue except we were one of four tables in the restaurant at the time. Probably wouldn’t go again but was a good experience overall."

"It was very dark. Our table and the table next were using cell phones to light the menus. Steak was great but small, especially for the price. I wish any restaurant that is still serving and charging for the entree, the side dish, the pre-meal bread separately, would stop. Our waitress was top-notch! Remembered our order, kept the table uncluttered and kept outlr drink filled."

"I was downtown with a friend shopping and we decided to pop into Morton’s it was 5pm and we were the first people there. We sat at the bar for cocktails and bites. The bartender was fast, friendly and knowledgeable the food and cocktails were excellent as you would expect at a restaurant of this quality. They have an amazing happy hour The Power Hour! We were dressed a little casual as we were out for the day and decided to just pop in and without going into full detail I got some very rude comments from the doorman. It’s 2023 and LA is a little more casual in general! plus the restaurant has a pizza and coffee fast food chain on either side of it and a lot of scary people outside. While I would never go in dressed as casually for a dinner in the main restaurant……maybe it’s time to lighten up on the dress code for happy hour at the bar. Don’t want to make that part of the experience the entire review as the food, cocktail, decor and service from the bartender was 5 star excellent!"

"The ambience and service is traditional steak house and completely solid. The lack of windows makes it feel a bit claustrophobic but the place is large and the seating comfortable. The food, however, was deeply disappointing — doubly so for the high price. I ordered a ribeye, medium, and it came back well done; grey throughout with a narrow band of pink on the thicker end. I was with a large group and didn’t want to complain or send it back, but I shouldn’t have to: a steakhouse should be able to grill a steak to order. The starters and sides were tasty and decently sized."
