"Worth your time and trip after visiting The Mission Inn to see this modest house and learn the history of the Harada family in an America dead set against Asian Americans through not one, but two incidents. It's currently being refurbished and remodeling because it's over 100 years old, but there are several plaques that can be read."

"Well, it's an interesting and important story, but the 105/135 year old structure has seen much better days, but I suppose so has Riverside. Anyway, breathe it in deeply (on days with favorable air quality). The surrounding houses have some early 20th century gems or gemlets."

Walking the neighborhood, I was grateful to have come across this historic home that I discovered is part of the national registry of historical places. The place I'd under a complete restoration but I was excited to learn that this home was the first home purchased by a noncitizen if the United States. Very awesome to have this home in our city. It should be celebrated!"
