Reviews of Two Creeks Campground
"We had a great time for our first time at Two Creeks! We were there for the midweek retreat. It was everything we had hoped for and a much needed break from real life. The staff were accommodating, and informative. We rented one of the cabins, and a golf cart. The cabin was clean and fresh. We will definitely be back!"
"Friendly, helpful, very welcoming, with so many fun things to do. July weekend, 2023. Very large campground that's remote and secluded. The grounds are heavily wooded with multiple small enclaves of different types (electric, primitive, electric/water, etc.). The last half mile to the campground entrance is gravel road and the check in office is quite a ways off that gravel road. There's a stage for events in the weekender area, along with another event area in the seasonal resident area. The weekender stage also has a nearby sand volleyball pit, a pickleball court, a community fire pit, and outdoor showers. The volleyball pit had multiple games going on throughout Saturday. There's a dozen or so small cabins to rent. No plumbing in them that I saw but they have beds, electricity, heat, and A/C. The cabins are scattered throughout the campground in groups of one to three. There's also large wooden frame tents and a yurt available to rent. The tents come with beds, grills and ice boxes but they're a bit pricey, more like a nice hotel room for a couple of nights. There's flushing toilets in the weekender area and both indoors and outdoor showers. There are also porta potties stationed strategically near each of the primitive camping areas, RV sites without septic hookups, and cabins. But the flushies are not far away no matter where you are. This is a large campground and bicycles are useful for getting around if you want to bring them. However we enjoyed the slower pace of walking, which allowed us to visit and talk with fellow campers more. There's no cell service, however there is limited wifi at the entrance. So if you need to check work emails, etc, you'll need to make your way to the entrance. That said, everyone we met was unplugged and present in conversations -- a refreshing change! -- instead of on their phones. There are no nearby amenities (though the address says Sandstone, Sandstone is actually 20 miles away) but there's an online camp store with some limited essentials. Yes, you'll probably need to hike up to the entrance to access the wifi to order though. The seasonal residents usually have a pot luck meet and greet every Friday night. It's free, and dish contributions are welcome but not required. The residents are super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. A few things we didn't like: Despite how extensive the online reservation is, when we arrived we had to fill out all the same information again on another online form at check in. We think one or the other would be better, not both. ID is required at check in, but we didn't like that they took pictures of our IDs. We have no idea how securely those images are stored against identity theft. Outside firewood is not allowed in but the onsite firewood is only available in amounts of $40 for the whole weekend. We would have preferred wood in smaller amounts, like the DNR firewood bundles found at gas stations, etc. Better yet, allow DNR wood to be brought in, like other campgrounds. The online reservation says it's $15 to, "guarantee a picnic table." We've never been to a campground that didn't provide a picnic table for each and every site. We didn't buy it, betting there would be some available on a non-event weekend. And there were, but if there weren't it would have been a damper on an otherwise fun weekend, and we wouldn't be planning a return trip like we are now."
"Glenn and the entire crew were amazing! Met some awesome people! It's is a fun, loving and respectful environment! My partner and I are looking forward to coming back soon and often!"
"Glenn and Stephanie were really nice, and treated us very well. Everyone is super friendly. We plan on bringing more people next Memorial Day and making this a yearly vacation."
"The entire experience is out of this world, obviously in a positive way. Since we had the first interaction on the phone for the reservation with Glenn and Stephanie, we received lots of respect and good tips for our first trip to a clothing optional campground. On the arrival day, Stephanie greeted us at the gates with a huge smile and made us feel at home. She explained everything to us in great detail. Every time that you listen “Welcome Home” is not just words, you are home. One more time, we always received respect from everyone and that’s the key for us. The residents are so welcoming, helpful and respectful. The facilities are AMAZING (make you a favor and try the outdoor showers). During the entire weekend there is always something going on: potlucks, karaoke, sharing food and drinks with visitors and residents, dance parties at night or just hanging around. This is the place where you are never going to feel judged for your body type or preferences. Sunday during our return trip to the cities we smiled at each other and talked about how re-energized we were feeling after a weekend at Two Creeks. We are looking forward to becoming residents and spend the summers at this unique and magical place that stole our hearts. Guys, thanks for sharing this jewel with us. See you soon, when we return home."
