"We recently did a staycation at Seagull Bay and had a fantastic experience! The Brownstone Cottage was exactly as described. It was clean & cozy. The view of the lake was beautiful. "This motel was clean and comfortable. Our room had a fully stocked kitchenette. Which was perfect since we were traveling on a tight budget. The motel is on the shore of Lake Superior. The view from both our room and the deck was absolutely stunning! I can't wait to go back next summer!"

"Wasn't worth the money or any money for that matter. Stayed at Bay West room 28, not the motel you see on the website! If you want to feel like your staying in a hospital room, this is the place for you! 1 Bed & 1 chair. No small table to sit at. You have to eat your food on the bed. No night stands or lights by the bed just overhead lighting. Very clinical feel. Your updates aren't updates. When I texted (this is how they communicate) they said they couldn't give us a different room, even though the sign showed vacancy. We were trying to have a nice comfortable weekend after husbands hospital stay and it felt like we were right back in the hospital, yuk! Not worth the high prices, I wouldn't stay here if it was free!!"
"I’m not sure if it’s normal operating procedure for this place but there was no staff at the front desk at check-in, just a sign with a phone number to text. They text you back with your room number and the key is in the room. We had a problem with the room (which was no fault of the proprietor’s) and they were gracious enough to move us to a new (and upgraded) room with no fuss. Great customer service, swell rooms, great lake view. 10/10 would stay again."
