"Architecture buffs: Built in 1928, this seven-story building has both neoclassical and baroque architectural characteristics. Random fact: The 7th floor hosts an old jail aptly nicknamed "7th Heaven.""
"Great city office. Please be aware, LADBS office is closed from 12 PM to 1 PM daily for lunch."
"So tired of the yelpers on yelp with 1200 reviews for an eatery, at that point who's going to read it, herd mentality. Also its hard to login. So I am in love with the quaint city of San Pedro. I was here in 1991 with my sister Jackie and we saw a cool cow dog at Carrillo Beach. San Pedro is a great town with tiny victorian houses carefully designed, remniscent of old San Francisco's North Beach. The neighborhood is in disarray when I was there visiting at night, with people trolling the streets in cars lurking looking to pick me up perhaps or a pup with an overbite. There is a social services office near the Swedish church that has been there since 1912. I want to investigate social services there. I like looking over the channel and seeing the cranes of industrial Long Beach where shipping containers from all over the world import goods to Walmart from manufacturing plants in Guanzhou People's Republic of China mostly, and other nations. I want to look into this. I could maybe apply for employment as a felon (class 6). Although I heard the trip takes months, I've heard, the trip from China to San Francisco 100 years ago took 50 days."
