"Not kid friendly or really friendly at all. I was so excited and he saw my son was autistic and when we got in the house he was like “if he can’t be quite, blah” I said unfortunately he cannot and I politely dismissed myself. They say never meet you heroes. I loved the show. They also have a Black Lives Matter outside his other house but guess autistic and children’s one’s don’t… shame"
"Came here because my girlfriend is a big fan of the show. The house is very pretty and the street itself quite cool. There was no one around when we stopped to take pictures."
"I've been watching Charmed since season 1 aired in '98. I've been wanting to go here since then. I'm a major fan and have seen every episode about a million times. No joke, I binge all 8 seasons and then start over. So it's only fitting that while my Missouri self is in California, I visit this house."
"This house is widely known as the Halliwell Manor from the popular CW television show series Charmed. It’s on my list: Hollywood Halloween House Tour. This list includes locations where popular horror / supernatural / thriller movies or TV shows were filmed. I recently visited this location at dusk before Halloween 2023. While the home is beautiful to behold in-person, I find the history of the building much more fascinating. Read on for more on the real story of this home. This house was designated Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument No. 73 in 1971 and was nominated to be added to the National Register of Historic Places Inventory — United States Department of the Interior National Park Service, in 1976. It was constructed in the Eastlake Victorian style in 1887-1888 and was known as the Innes House, for Daniel Innes, who was a real estate developer and Los Angeles Councilman. Daniel Innes’ story is the immigrant success story America was built on. He was born in Scotland in 1835 and emigrated to New York when he was only 14. In 1865 he moved to Chicago, Illinois and established a dry goods business. He expanded and established an even bigger store in Elgin, Illinois. In 1870 he married. The following year he established yet another dry goods store in Kansas with his brother. In 1885 he moved to California where he engaged in real estate development and opened tracts in Angelino Heights, where he built his home on Carroll Avenue. In 1890 he entered political life and became one of the first members of the Los Angeles City Council. At that time the population of Los Angeles City was just only 50,395. He remained a councilman until 1894. In 1918, at the age of 83, he died. Two years later, in 1920, the Innes family home was sold to its second owner, Dominic Iannorone, an Italian barber, who resided at 1329 Carroll Avenue until his death in 1971. While the house was originally built as a single family home, between 1950-1972 the upstairs area was rented out as a separate unit. In 1972 ownership changed hands again and restoration to its single home status began. Public records show it was sold once more to its fourth owner in 1977. Anyone can visit this house, however, it remains a privately owned and occupied residence, so please be respectful of the property and admire 1329 Carroll Avenue from the sidewalk. For architectural tours of this area (which may or may not include a tour of the first floor of this home—subject to availability) check with the L.A. Conservancy Organization online."
"As a fellow Charmed fan, I'd dreamed of seeing The Charmed House. On my birthday, I had planned to come see it and it is so beautiful up close! This Victorian style house does belong to someone so it's important to respect their property; I only went up a few steps for my picture. I had a replica of the Book of Shadows so I brought it with me on my trip to LA so it could be featured as well. The Charmed House is a must for Charmies! I recommend coming to see the house around dusk, just before the sun sets."
