"I purchased insurance from this company for my Carnival Cruise Lines Cruise this November. My understanding, was that if there was a family emergency or etc, after paying for insurance coverage for my cruise, which was Nov 12th, then I would get a refund on a portion of my cruise travels. I had the understanding that I would not receive my deposit back. The person traveling with me had a last minute emergency and couldn’t attend. After I placed my claim into Aon in regards to this matter, all their representatives became dismissive, claiming my situation isn’t called for an emergency, saying that I didn’t read my insurance contract correctly. This company pushes their insurance through carnival cruise, as if we would get our cash refund back if anything was to happen, and that is not correct with this company. This morning, I woke up to an email stating your family emergency doesn’t stand in the lines of a Cash Refund. Just like any other insurance company, they don’t want to have to give you a refund back, and the carnival promotion is fraud. Do not purchase this insurance for any cruise line. They have no intent to work with you in case of an emergency, it’s just a sales pitch."

"I never buy travel insurance but since my TA got us a good deal on our cruise, I decided to add it. It was truly a blessing because my Grandma unexpectedly passed away shortly before my cruise was set to depart and we would be needing to travel to her services during the time our cruise would be taking place. I called Aon for information and the lady was very kind and sweet. She offered her condolences and told me what I needed to file my claim. Once I received the death certificate, it was a super easy process. From the time I filed the claim to the day I received my refund was only two weeks. I will continue to buy travel insurance from now on but I hope I won't have to use it again."
