"What a gem! This quaint chapel overlooking a gorgeous valley is the perfect place for a very intimate wedding or ceremony. Steeped in rich history and a beautiful story, this was such a lovely place to find on our backroad drive."
"Great place to visit on a warm summer afternoon. Take a stroll through the cemetery and read the ages of the people on the headstones. Interesting to see several people with the same date of death; Fire? Disease? Look across the Santa Maria Valley and think about what it would take to get to the beach and dunes you can just see in the distance with your family in a horse drawn wagon. Finish the trip with a drive south on Foxen Canyon Road to the site of the Foxen homestead. It's just a small pile of rubble now with a very small marker at the side of the road. The patriarch, Benjamin, is buried in the San Ramon cemetery. When I was a kid in school we would journey out there at night to get a good scare in the cemetery with the spooky chapel as a backdrop. Now, I can appreciate the amazing local history just hinted at on the headstones."
