"Came here with my wife for our anniversary with high hopes considering the reviews. We placed a reservation for 7pm server was really friendly but took so long between orders that we didn't get our food until 8:30pm (we actually saw 2 tables go in eat and leave) we thought maybe they are really busy then I realized they close at 9 pm and we were the last 2 tables, all we herd was the kitchen staff cleaning and saw the staff cleaning up. We rushed to finish out steaks because we didn't want to be in the way ,expecting a great steak it was chewy tasteless and dry. I really hate to describe it that way but my first reaction was "wow" and not in a good way. Good thing i ordered the sauce because i just drenched the rest of the steak. I don't mind the 200$ bill at all its just the feeling of not being worth the hype. Overall I can't comment on their consistency but our experience was just average. Also heads up if you're planning on going this month, Christmas in the park floods the streets with hotdog vendors and they all have super bright light that are next to the restaurant. I changed my sitting position to cover the light on my wife's eyes, I'm sure it's not the restaurants fault just something to consider"
"It was a whole wonderful experience. We made a reservation in advance as you need to with this restaurant. We got a booth which my wife likes to enjoy. We chose the special 36oz steak dinner. It was well worth it. The steak was perfectly cooked and very tender indeed. The finishing touch was the peppercorn sauce we put on top. Great tasting! The tomato balsamic salad with some fish eggs was delicious, too! Not to mention the wonderful corn souffle as a side dish. Since this was our first visit, we had a lava cake dessert. All's good here. The staff was very friendly and made you feel right at home. The atmosphere was just what the doctor ordered. Great food. Great place. We will definitely come back again when we're in the City again!"
"Discover the renowned steakhouse in the United States and savor their exquisite selection of beef and meats. I decided to try the lamb racks, but unfortunately, they didn't meet my expectations. Despite ordering them medium rare, the meat was incredibly chewy and clung stubbornly to the bone, making it difficult to even cut through. Moving on to the seafood platter, it included oysters, shrimp, tuna salad, crab meat, and lobster. However, the lobster seemed to be overcooked and gave off the impression of using frozen lobster for preparation. The meat turned out chewy and had a tendency to stick to the lobster shell. The oysters were briny and had a strong mineral flavor. The shrimp, on the other hand, didn't possess the desired freshness and fell short in taste. Unfortunately, nobody informed us about the accompanying sauce that could have enhanced the flavor of the shrimp. On a positive note, the grilled lobster tail was enjoyable, although I personally would have preferred it slightly undercooked for a more desirable tenderness. Despite the disappointment with the meat, the wine provided a delightful accompaniment to the meal. Interestingly, my companions also expressed dissatisfaction with the beef, resulting in many of them leaving portions of their meat uneaten."
"I recently dined at Morton's The Steakhouse in San Francisco and I must say the food and service were remarkable. The "great service" as I'd call it, is truly commendable. The staff made sure our experience was nothing less than perfect. The "top quality of the products" was evident in every dish we ordered. The Bacon-Wrapped Scallops, which I tried, were simply the best I've ever had. The savory bacon complemented the delicate flavor of the scallops, resulting in a mouth-watering feast. Their "outstanding wine list" needs a special mention. With a wide array of choices to complement their exquisite dishes, it's a wine lover's dream. Now coming to the star of the show - the Filet Mignon. Cooked medium rare as requested, it was incredibly tender and just melted in my mouth. However, the prices do seem a bit over the top. Even though the quality and service were exceptional, I felt the cost was slightly on the higher side. It's for this reason that I'm taking a half star off. Overall, a visit to Morton's The Steakhouse in San Francisco is a must for any steak enthusiast. Just brace yourself for the bill! I give it a solid 4 stars out of 5."
