"Took my father and daughter on an early Saturday morning, offseason visit. Was a nice place to let my 4yo run around and explore, while the history entertained my dad. We concluded with a nice picnic at their tables adjacent to the parking lot."
"Nice historical spot. We caught a docent for a simple tour. Very knowledgeable."
"Thanks for the wonderful tour by the sweet lady Kit! It’s fun to learn something about the Petaluma history back in the 1800s. Stories about General Vallejo, the ranch’s, and the adobe houses."
"Participated in Living History Day this year, embodying 1840 Mexican California as the Californios living at Vallejo's compound. Long-time volunteers and new volunteers demonstrated Californio crafts, sports, and ways of life. One veteran volunteer cooked food for all 30 volunteers, a traditional Californio meal on the open fireplace at the adobe. A busy, wonderful day! Last Saturday in May!"
"This park is included in the Historian Pass, so I popped in for a peek. What a cool park! You actually get to walk around the grounds and buildings, including the second floor which is neat! I'd like to go back. They do a lot of educational events as well."
