"My boyfriend and I saw about this place on social media and decided to try it out, and it did not disappoint. I got the Swedish lefse breakfast, he got the Swedish omelet, and we split the Swedish pancakes- all delicious! The staff went out of their way to be courteous. It was a little crowded, but that is to be expected on a Sunday morning. It can be especially fun if you are of Nordic heritage and would like to share with others- there are lots of fun items to discuss. Definitely a new favorite for us!"
"Friendly staff. They took our order, in a timely matter. The coffee drinks were good. Unfortunately, we change the order to take out, because it took over 35 minutes to prepare it. The reuben sandwich was just okay."
"5 star bakery with tons of delicious options! Coffee is definitely an afterthought, so don’t expect the best latte. They do custom cakes and have options for cupcakes too"
"Wanted to try this place for breakfast for awhile. I was surprised to find that it wasn't busy. Food was very tasty! Staff was friendly, but not as engaging. No decor to speak of, just basic tables and chairs. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Caramel rolls were very good!"
"TL;DR - Pastries are not their strong-suit and are overall lackluster, and if you aren't a regular, don't expect much in terms of service. One visit was one too many; I won't be back. I stopped by on a Monday morning as the bakery I was hoping to stop by originally was closed on Mondays, so I was initially just happy to find that Taste of Scandinavia had fresh bakery items on a Monday, a huge plus.... before I got there. Food: As of about 8:45am they still had an ok selection of pastries so I got a half dozen assorted Danishes and doughnuts for a Monday morning treat for my team. I had a chocolate filled danish drizzled with chocolate which, sounds like a GREAT start, but boy was it disappointing. The pastry was old, chewy in that gross way that pastries get when they are just about ready for the garbage. Add to that all the chocolate had leaked out so the inside was just a stale remnant of the chocolate that used to live there, leading to and old-tasting tragedy of pastry. I've had far better gas station pastries. Service: Barely there. The employees just stood behind the counter chatting with the regulars while I waited to even be acknowledged. When they finally were done catching up, they started talking to the regular who was behind me before finally greeting me. As soon as I noted I was done with my order the employee started chatting it up with yet another regular. It was clear I was of no interest to them and, if anything, be being a paying customer was just getting in their way... what an absolute joke. Atmosphere: If I didn't have to eat the food, and didn't have to try and get service from employees, this seems like it might be an ok place to hang out."
