"Great hiking spot. You can traverse the whole lake and then get to the top as well for a bus eye view. There are quite a few impressive balanced rocks. The pink color makes for stunning contrast. There are two sides to enjoy the park area to access swimming in the lake. We got there very early and glad we did, by the time we were done hiking, about 4 hours to see everything the entire parking lot had filled up. If you have young kids, the hiking could prove dangerous but the lake park has many options for enjoying the day. There were all kinds of rental equipment and food and drink options"

The lake as part of Devils Lake State Park offers many sports opportunities like kayaking or surfing. There are many Hiking Trails around the lake with many viewpoints. State Park is also eagerly visited by climbers."
