"I live here currently, and really love it! The community feels very safe and neighborly. There is a lot of construction activity, but I also intentionally chose an older complex for its character and mature trees, and am glad they are maintaining it well. I also don’t work at home, so daytime noise is not an issue for me, but might be for others!"

"If you spend any time at your apartment between 7:30am and 5:30pm, you will not enjoy living here. It is LOUD, both externally with the expected city noise, and internally with a very poorly managed, never-ending construction schedule. The property is outdated, and they are trying to fix everything all at once at the expense of their residents. You are nothing more than a warm body that pays rent; your quality of life is not important here. I would also not recommend this property to anyone with any sort of mobility issues. There are a lot of stairs up to and around the complex, many are steep, and not all have railings. The rent prices are reflective of prices in Hillcrest, not the quality or value you will get living here."

"Anthony who claimed to be the property mg is rude and does not have business etiquette. We are a reputable vendor company in San Diego. We called so he can relate a message to the owner of the apartment complex to get his interest in upgrading his laundry machines. Anthony hung up. We called again in case the call dropped on our end, but he hung up again. Anthony DOES NOT HAVE THE BEST INTEREST FOR THIS COMPANY. If this is the way he manages his business affairs, then be careful who you have as your property manager. Don't rent from him."

"Been a resident for over a year and will not renew my lease. It’s a very very loud property. You always have empty units (residents keep moving in and out) so they are constantly having construction in them (removing flooring etc for the next resident moving). If you work from home, you will keep hearing construction noise at all time which makes it difficult to have meetings. This noise is contant and even on the weekend, it starts early in the morning preventing you from sleeping in. As a resident you would expect peace and quiet in your own home especially for the price they charge. Leasing manager Anthony was notified. I asked if it was possible not to have loud construction noise starting so early at least on the weekend, his answer was “it’s the only time they have available, it won’t be possible”. Water is also often shut off. I had rats in my previous unit (they live in the walls and the part between the roof and the ceilings, they enter through small holes in the roof or outside wall) . The property is also surrounded by 2 new big constructions project adding to the loud noise. This property is pretty old but they charge over $2k for a modest 2 bed rooms and almost 2k for a one bed room. You can find new constructions units in the same area for the same price and without all of these issues. Run!"

"DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Worst management ever! Most dangerous place I've ever lived. Apartment break ins, countless property theft. Management never got a handle on this and was uninterested in making adjustments to keep the community safe. Sunrise management hires inexperienced on site managers and goes through about 3 a year on avg. Water shut offs on avg 2-3 a month and countless other issues. Absolutely worst place ever lived. DO NOT MOVE HERE!"
