"It was such a fun and great environment! My little sister took swim lessons, gymnastics, and dance classes and loved all of her coaches and teachers! We do have a membership that allows us to swim and go to the gym. Play basketball. There's so much to do here! In the summer, there's daycare for kiddos!!!"
"I love the activities at the Kimberly YMCA. However this parking lot is an absolute disaster and very dangerous. There is only one way in and out and frequently it is a 20 minute wait just to exit the lot. There are little ones running all over the parking lot and poor visibility. I am shocked someone hasn't been hurt already. We will not be using the YMCA due to this issue."
"Been a fan of the YMCA since my youth. Active with it through my adult life. Great programs they offer. From youth to elderly. This YMCA has just a smaller pool. Used more for swimming lessons open swimming, and silver sneakers members. Tons of programs for our youth. They don't discriminate. Just here to help people and set goals. Kids summer programs are just starting. Sign them up. Good way to keep them busy and involved in the communities. Get them out of the house. Children are watched and get graded for there performance. Highly recommend the YMCA. So much more than just a health club. Make you feel welcomed. They also offer scholarships for families that can't afford the membership. Again I highly recommend the YMCA. Was just there today. Also very clean YMCA. Fairly new building. It is off CE exit. Turn on Railroad to get to it. Turn right at the round about. First right will be the driveway after the apartments. Huge parking lot."
"Our family has been loyal members of the YMCA for over 15 years. Great experience up until the past year at Heart of the Y. Their executive director is top notch, but I can't think of a staff that could be anymore rude and disrespectful than the current one that they have. The weight room and wellness center has turned into a glorified daycare for 13-, 14- and 15-year-old kids who are not being supervised. When trying to get staff to properly monitor the situation they have become rude and combative. The wellness center is not being properly staffed to address these issues. There are too busy either getting a workout in themselves or in the back room on a computer or on their phones. Colleen, the previous wellness coordinator was terrific. She was constantly walking throughout the center making sure that things were being properly monitored and there were never any issues. Just cancelled our family membership, not worth the $74 a month for such blatant disregard to members concerns."
"I took swimming lessons here for a long time. The teachers were great, especially the ones who helped me learn of my love for swimming at such a young age. They get 5/5 from me. The management could be a little better, considering they are also in charge of after cares for several area schools. Their lack of trust in their employees and respect for their time is why I'm only giving this a 3/5. It's an okay place to work... if you don't mind minimum wage and pushiness to help their annual campaign. I quit, and I still got a notice saying that I got a certain amount withdrawn from my paycheck... Even though I wasn't working there anymore! Their HR people could learn a thing or two about organization too. However, it's not all bad. The environment there is fun, they have a lot of options for classes, exercise, and fitness. Their fitness center is my favorite local place because they have a variety of equipment to use and helpful staff that they have there all the time. Overall, it's a decent place as long as you're not working there..."
