Reviews of Monterey Pines Apartments
"I have lived here over 3 years. I call it home. I'm shocked at some of the reviews as I have never witnessed bad service or disrespect from any staff here. The office staff is amazing as well as the maitainence crew. They have always done everything in their power to insure my home here is safe and respected. Thank you for all you do in making a place I call home. I look forward to more years here."
"Paola and Luis are in charge of the management at Monterey Pines and they are one of the most unprofessional property managers I have ever encountered. Their maintenance team is also very unprofessional, they came into my apartment for an emergency leak early in the morning one day and yelled at me to ask "Are you done yet?!" as I barely woke up to get ready and disrespected me in my own home. I reported them to Paola and Luis and it was not handled correctly and very rudely. And one of the maintenance guys threatened me in my apartment by giving me an evil glare after I reported them. I had to reach out to corporate since Luis and Paola don't know how to resolve issues here. Also, I feel since I reported them to corporate before, they have been trying to make things harder for me to live here. I feel they are retaliating against me and it's not okay. And I found that corporate will protect their employees, regardless of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. I would not recommend living here as it has been very problematic with the employees and they will not have your best interest in mind."
"So far no problem living here besides parking. Based on my personal experience, there’s nothing to complain about. The neighbors are kind and the neighborhood is quiet at night. I saw in one review re the laundry area and how it only accepts coins. This is not true since you can download an app where you can pay from there. Also, the pool is never packed. Been here for almost 2 years and I havent seen the pool with a lot of people. The maintenance people, and Paola and Luis has always been nice and accommodating too. The only con I would say is the parking. I hope they had atleast 2 parking for guests but nonetheless, living here has been amazing!"
"Office staff are rude and unprofessional. They claim the carpet is new but they all they do is wash it before someone else moves in. Feel free to smoke in your balcony though."
"I'd give this place 2.7 stars Pro: 1) Nice, clean and quiet community with mostly families. Cons: 1) Pool area is PACKED with the residence's family and friends during the summer months. These strangers sit around the pool, play music, drink alcohol and have their kids completely take over the shallow end. This is not regulated in any way and they completely ruin it for people who PAY rent. There are days I don't even try to swim because the pool area is completely taken over. There is a locked gate around the pool but that doesn't stop anyone. Someone could literally walk into here from off the street and go swimming(who knows if they actually do?). 2) Parking is horrendous. This is not the properties fault but it could definitely be a game changer if you don't have enough spots. 3) Laundry is onsite but you pay with quarters and not a laundry card. Basically, you're forced to search for quarters every week like it's not 2018. 4) The annual rent increases are ridiculous and there's no justifiable reasoning(upgrades, facilities, etc.). 5) The cost for a new apartment is high, CONSIDERING the area and caliber of residence. The area around Monterey Pines isn't bad but it's far from perfect."
