Reviews of Hub Los Angeles Coliseum
"As a USC resident of this building, I must say I have made quite the big mistake deciding to live at the Hub. I pay a hefty $1450 a month and I don't even have access to Wifi in my own room. The wifi router, which is fixed in place doesn't even reach my room so I am forced to use data and the Hub has told me they cannot do anything about it. In addition to this, I have a semi-private room which means the wall separating my room from my housemate doesn't go all the way up to the ceiling. In other words, there is a huge empty space between the two rooms so I can hear everything that my roommate does and it is out of my control. It is incredibly hard to focus when doing work or studying because of this and I see absolutely no reason as to why they left a space separating the two rooms except to inconvenience the people living here. It is also worth mentioning that my room is extremely small and have barely any room to walk in my own room. This isn't horrible, but there are so many better options to choose from if you are looking for housing near USC. My room is connected to the rest of the apartment as well with a sliding door (not a typical door) and for the longest time it did not lock. The lock was busted and despite asking for maintenance it took them a semester and a half to address the issue. For that whole time, I had to be aware of the fact that anyone in my apartment could have just gone into my room and taken anything if I wasn't in the apartment and that there was nothing I could do about it. The walls are super thin and I can hear everything my other roommates do. The toilet paper rack in the bathroom is also too short so a normal toilet paper roll is smushed against the wall: more bad design. The gym is extremely small and barely has any machines. The weights have a sharp hexagon shape and the weight rack is poorly designed so for shorter or weaker individuals, getting hurt from unracking or reracking the weights is very easy. In conclusion, it's probably worth giving at least 3 stars. The fact that there's a gym in the first place is a plus and there is a washing and drying unit in each apartment. However, I have decided to give the Hub 1 stars because of its quality and price relative to other housing near USC. There are so many more affordable housing choices to choose from that offer more room space, stable WIFI, and actual walls that start at the floor and reach the ceiling instead of halfing 3/4 of the way. There is simply no reason to come to the Hub if you are a USC student. It's not objectively bad, but in comparison to other housing, it is."
"I think when we think about modern buildings and the needs of a college student, the Hub gets the job done. There is such an immense amount of community events, food given to students, and overall emails to alert students of anything going on. Location wise, it is close to great food options and two sports/concert venues by walking. There's a reason I signed my lease in 2022 and am still here 2 years later. It's the best."
"I love The Hub! Living here has been amazing because of the customer service experience and the quality of the building's facilities. When there is something wrong with the apartment, the staff are responsive and quick to fix it. The guards are also the sweetest :)"
"Working with the Hub has been so easy! They make the entire process from touring to signing the lease so easy and understandable. Shout out to Sierra and Kayla for being so helpful over the phone and in person! Stellar team members :)"
