"Got to give the honest experience here. After I prepaid for gas, the pump auto-released (stopped pumping) prematurely - I later saw the tank was far from full. When I told the person at the counter about it, apparently they didn’t have the pump data available inside, because she had to walk out to the pump and see the dollar amount that was pumped in order to pay me back the difference. This process took more than a minute, and she seemed unhurried. She then pulled out a calculator for a simple subtraction (not a statement of her character or the gas station, but it added to a general lackadaisical atmosphere). Both workers present were dressed rather sloppily (including slippers/sliders). The coffee was very affordable, and she kindly let me leave it on the counter in order to use the restroom, so perhaps this would be a 2.5-star rating if that were an option. The restroom was not well-kept; I believe there was either a large hole where the sink’s drainpipe entered the wall, a bucket underneath it, or some other clear sign of disrepair for the sink and wall. In the end the various delays put me behind schedule for my destination. Overall this station serves the purpose of a quick necessary stop but would need a lot of intentional effort to be on par with, say, a Kwik Trip as an option."
"Hot food is good till 2pm. They close the kitchen down at noon. They have bait, fishing/hunting licenses, soft serve ice cream, an icy/frosty bar, No paper towels in restrooms, no baby changing table (but they are clean, private and nice. Tile in store looks worn out,"
"Bob and Lisa are great managers of the store. Are they married? (No they are not. There is a purple and green divide there, that will never be reconciled...but good friends ) Good soft serve ice cream, a slushy bar, fishing/hunting licences, fishing bait(small selection), firewood(really expensive). Everything was neat and clean... Even the garbage cans. The window washers were not soft enough to clean my windshield properly. I suppose if they work too good, they get stolen. Lunch is really good here. Hot food ready to go. Real deep fried chicken and potatoes, Jalepeno poppers and other foods available. The bathrooms are clean and have baby changing table available in the womens room . Hot food is available till 6pm but best before 3pm. They don't open the kitchen after 2pm. It is hot-box food after... But good during those hours."
"Food is very marginal but edible, not sure how long the food was kept in the warmer, but don’t recommend the chicken strips, corn dogs or cheese sticks!"
"Best corner store/gas station we could ask for in Harris. Not only do they have all the "normal" gas station snacks, drinks, ect but things you would not expect like hamburger, some fresh produce, soft serve ice cream...and great friendly staff!"
