"I am a cancer patient with NHL. The care I have received at Kaiser Roseville’s oncology center has been amazing from my nurse navigator, to my oncologists, to the infusion team and all the supporting staff on duty during my treatments. Their expertise, kindness and compassion has been greatly appreciated during a time of great turmoil fir me. They have made this journey so much more bearable than it could have been. Reading other reviews I’d like to comment that treatments are scheduled based on severity of diagnosis. Obviously someone with stage 4 highly aggressive cancer is going to get booked first as are those currently in treatment. I am shocked and saddened at the number of fellow patients undergoing treatment on my infusion days. They are booked solid with patients coming and going all day. I have a slow growing stage 2 cancer and I waited two weeks. An eternity if you are anxious but not an unreasonable wait if your life is not imminently at risk like others are. As for response to treatments and medication, i had a severe reaction to the medication I was given. No two cancer patients are the same so it is difficult to predict with certainty how someone will react so doctors must rely on the data on how others responded in the past and during studies. Though I had a serious reaction i was extremely happy with their quick response and actions taken to stop the reaction and plan to prevent future reactions. Our impressions are based on our own experiences, perceptions and personalities. I work with people on a daily basis and have experienced one person having little tolerance for the simplest of things that go off plan, while another will show incredible tolerance in extreme adversity. Consider reviews with this in mind. Is your cup regularly half full or empty? Mine is overflowing with gratitude at the Kaiser Roseville Oncology."

"I am a cancer patient and though most of my teams have been caring and kind there are conflicting instructions. There are cruelties due to ignorance and fears. I am certain that there are other situations, but I have known many with the same complaints about Kaiser specifically. Side effects and treatments I think really need to be assessed individually. What May work for some do not work for all, and not everyone is drug seeking. Lord knows I try to eliminate as many as possible, I am not a fan of drugs, however when I do have to take them I want them to be effective. Many times this is not the case. When I speak to other cancer patients and friends it seems there is more empathy and better follow through with their care outside of Kaiser, and they are not accused or labeled “drug seeking”. As much as I like my teams I know everyone is human and overwhelmed with people’s needs. I would just really like to have a little follow through and the benefit of the doubt like when a patient is doing something please ask why and don’t assume they are just doing something because it was the thing they came up with in their imagination. I was given conflicting directions from my Doctor and the pharmacist. My Doctor was truly upset with me. The pharmacy directions were the most recent I was given. I request things when what I was advised either did not work or was causing a side effect, or what I was given caused more issues. Like I said when using anything I want it to be effective for me specifically. If it doesn’t work I want to try something else and not be treated like it is a problem for them. Thank you"

"I've been trying to make it oncology appointment for a couple weeks now but apparently cancer isn't that important to them and I've just been getting pushed off so try your luck at UC Davis they're probably going to be a lot more helpful and care about your problems because Lord knows this place doesn't, or thay have not been displaying care about and oncology problems"
