"Nice lobby. The upper floor hallways have nice wooden doors and marble walls and floors."
"Where they filmed the outside shots in American Horror Story: Hotel. They based the inside lobby on the inside of the James Oviatt building. What’s also interesting is that Elizabeth Short (The Black Dahlia) left the Biltmore heading toward 7th street on Olive Street on the night she was last seen. The lobby of the Biltmore was on Olive Street at that point. She more than likely passed the James Oviatt Building, since it was said that she walked a couple of blocks towards 7th street and the Oviatt building is only the next block from the Biltmore, that night before she got in an anonymous car."
"I was the General Manager of Cicada Restaurant and also had many events going on in Oviatt Penthouse simultaneously. Film locations in Cicada and Penthouse. A lot of Weddings!!! And ghost stories of a young boy who lived in the basement of the Oviatt. He came to Penthouse when we were giving tours for possible events. Peace out for now. Happy 42nd birthday remember "The Summer of 42":)"
"What a wonderful night!! Been coming here for 10+ years and never a disappointment. The band was excellent! Couldn't put these happy feet down! Great venue for weddings private parties or just go out for some drinks. Best part is you get to dress up all pretty and to deco attired!!!!"
"Beautiful structure. 1920s-1940s vibe optional attire. But it was fun to see young and old crowds enjoying their night. They had a pre set menu very affordable and staff was on point. Would recommend for birthdays or corporate holiday parties."
