"I moved here last month and since then, the water has been cut off twice. Today, the water has been cut off for about 7 hours. I have had to walk 20+ minutes to use the restroom and purchase water. The new management is replacing all the windows and sliding glass doors as well. Unfortunately, ours were replaced backwards to the blinds and my new window has been leaking so much with the rain. The company hired to replace the blinds have been shouting, cursing, and banging at early hours in the morning. They left fiberglass or some kind of white flaky substance all around the garden beds and grass and pavement around my building. It is a beautiful place to live but I do not feel respected by the way things are run. It feels like the management is doing things to make this place seem nicer to raise its value, but completely disregarding the humanity of people actually existing here. Maybe I am just upset about the water, but these concerns have been growing since I moved in."
"I’m new to California and trying to relocate here without support was difficult; however, Joy was nothing short of amazing. She answered my endless questions, helped me overcome challenges/hurdles that I could not foresee, and helped my daughter and I get safe access to this great community. I could not have asked for a better individual to welcome me to California, Thousand Oaks, or to Arrive! She is an amazing human being! Also, David in maintenance continues to show up whenever I have any concerns or issues. I have a very large emotional support dog and David and her are becoming fast friends. He makes sure that she’s ok before he leaves, which is greatly appreciated. I’m very thankful and grateful for his kindness and professionalism!"
"The application experience was streamlined, efficient and easy! Joy goes way above and beyond in her role to help. Brandon completes work order promptly. The grounds smell so good with all the trees. It is all just so lovely."
"Updated: I am a 3-year resident going on my fourth year. Originally leased under the previous owner, Stone Pine. With the arrival of the new owners, the complex has been largely renovated -- new windows, fresh paint, BBQ area, small gym, dog park, and new fences to name a few. The new management is excellent. Joyce, the day-time manager, is on top of things. She has taken a candid and honest approach which protects both the complex and the renters. Maintenance has been good -- not so good before but it has gotten better this last year. We just had a maintenance request which was handled within 24-hours. There are a good number of trees in the complex - large pine trees which provide shade and a forest/secluded feeling. It's nice to come home to a nice environment. Our neighbors have been fine for the most part. Over the last 3-years we haven't had a single package stolen from our doorstep. People here seem nice and the atmosphere has been mostly tranquil. There has been an occasional reason for complaint, but the reasons are generally not the fault of the complex and staff, rather, the actions of the residents. However, since new management has taken over these problems have also become less frequent. Some of the negatives which came with the new owners include: 1. A new utility/service co-payment which gets added to your monthly rent. With the previous owners water, gas, sewage, and garbage were free for the residents. 2. Pet rent. $25 per animal per month. The price of the apartments have also significantly increased (over 50% in the last 3-years), though, I suppose that the same issue exists for any apartment in this area. However, the main reason I moved into this complex was because it was the cheapest complex around and had no pet rent. I doubt I would be willing to move in if I were a perspective renter today."
"Amazing manager and community. Joy is extremely helpful and kind. She does an amazing job reaching out to you and working with you every step of the way. The community is unbelievably welcoming. Just in touring I had people saying hi and wishing me well on my tour."
