Reviews of Park Regent Apartments
"Very decent apartment. Not luxury but cheap. Largest concern is the thin wall, it doesn’t block any noise, but I was lucky that my neighbors are quiet. Very good experience, I lives there for about 4 years and a half"
"Not the best, not the worst. If you are looking for a cheap place to live, this place is actually pretty decent. It is at least functional and looks nice. But there are a bunch of cons you won't notice from simply checking this place out for a day. It feels like these people try to make this place better but don't have the time or resources to actually do so. Pros: - Cheap (Pretty decent and spacious for the cost) - Generally looks nice (Palm trees, trimmed hedges, ok finishing inside) - Nice lighting (Our apartment honestly had amazing lighting which made for a cozy experience) - People are nice (I've had a pleasant experience any time I needed to call the office) - Very quick drive to lots of relevant places (Walmart, Target, Trader Joes, Downtown Mountain View, etc.) Cons: - Walls are thin (You can hear road noises and people outside if you're near the road) - Poor insulation (Expect to keep your AC/heater on) - Annoying hedge/grass trimmers in the mornings sometimes - TERRIBLE water quality (The worst of any place I've stayed at. Water will randomly have a brown tint, even beyond the initial move-in, and has tasted like iron before.) - Terrible response time (They were unable to help the night that I was locked out. We filed a ticket for a critical issue and someone came to check on us 3 days later. We filed for a non-critical issue (broken toilet tank lid) and someone has yet to show up months later, even after calling in for it again.) - Signs of poor quality work keeps popping up (Our bathroom door warped over the summer due to the heat and was difficult to close. Cracks showed up in our shower wall. Kitchen drawers are sticky and difficult to open. Nails in the carpet were not properly dealt with. You get the idea.) Other notes: - No in-unit wash/dry (very limited amount of exterior washers/dryers) - No pets"
"I’ve lived here for over a year. As of the past month, the tenant in the apartment above me is playing loud electronic music all day, making it impossible to focus. Forget about having a nap or enjoying your own apartment. The property manager refuses to do anything unless the loud music happens between 10pm and 8am, when is not a helpful when working from home."
"Stayed for a year for the location but the apartments were "meh". Pros: - Great maintenance guy, who comes over to help and fix the apartment issues quickly - Neighbors are respectful and mostly professionals Cons: - The buildings and apartments are really old - Walls are thin like a paper - Hence it gets very hot during the day and very cold during the night, basically the apartment temperatures are the same as outside temperatures - You can hear everything your neighbor is doing and vice versa - You can hear every footstep and every conversation happening in the lobby - Floor is squeaky and made noise on every step I took - All the kitchen appliances and cabinets are old - If your bedroom is facing the parking lot prepare to be constantly annoyed by the car alarms and noises in the middle of the night - Definitely not worth for the annoyances and all the old building issues, get a better apartment somewhere else"
"Although not really fancy but is also cheaper for that matter. Wide open spaces with easy in and out so pretty convenient. The apts are a bit aged so sometimes require maintenance but the staff is nice and friendly so not really a big deal. Pretty quiet in general although those footsteps above can be a pain sometimes. Got a pool, powerful washing machines and some cool palm trees!"
