"Wow!! What a great experience! My Aunt Donna is a regular and brought us there for brunch. AMAZING!! The food was great but the best part without a doubt though is the outstanding service! The manager sent over a complimentary dish and our waiter Shayne was unbelievably friendly, professional, knowledgeable, attentive and so amazing!! I can't say enough good stuff about him. Wow! Top-notch all the way. I highly recommend Avra for an amazing dining experience and most importantly outstanding service. Thank you SHAYNE, AVRA, the rest of your staff and my amazing Aunt Donna!"
"Ambiance and atmosphere definitely here. Although busy and a bit loud, one can carry out a conversation comfortably. Server was nice and the lunch fixed price menu is worth it if you are planning on a good time, and a good meal. Didn't get to enjoy cocktails but looks like they do it right. Next time!"
"Overrated. The food was mediocre at best. Halibut and sea bass were super dry and tasteless. The Hamachi was so small that it was embarrassing. The fried cheese had way too much oil. It's a beautiful restaurant with medium food and service. I'm not coming here again."
"The food was great. The lady at the front door wasn’t very welcoming and she had attitude! Our waiter was good he explained everything in the menu that we asked. We loved the atmosphere, food and everything else but I think the restaurant need better people at the reception to have some smile in their face"
"Gave less rating based on poor service. Our waitress Olga barely explained the menu, when we talked I felt like I owe her money. Attitude could definitely use some improvement. She brought us the check when we didn’t even ask for it and wanted to order drinks after food, we paid, tipped 20% (it’s a Canadian habit of still leaving tips when not happy with service) and left. In upscale and good location restaurants you’re usually explained what’s being served, dish menu and some word or 2 about the fish. Here we got nothing close to that. I’m genuinely curious why businesses would invest so much money into design, high quality food, uniforms, promotion and marketing-only for guests to arrive and be treated like they’re not welcome. Anyways, food was good. Hummus and salmon were my favorites. Unfortunately,we didn’t get to try any cocktails or drinks but drink bar options looked great. Design is done with taste and texture. I would pay another visit just to make up my mind about this restaurant. One person may not be the best way to rate the entire experience."
