Canyon Terrace Apartments

"Do not move here! Break ins, terrible construction conditions and burglary. I’ve rented and have lived in various locations and states. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. When I first moved in (Feb 2023) the construction wasn’t as bad but soon then after they shut down one of the entrances. Started to tear up everything up working on Saturdays with heavy construction. The new apartments now tower over the other buildings covering sun and light. During my duration into this complex my apartment was burglarized, the window was smashed and the burglar or burglars ransacked my apartment. This complex has no cameras or security. A month prior to my apartment being broken into my work truck was also broken into. The condition of the these apartments seems to be diminishing as they raise prices. I personally wouldn’t want my worst enemy to live here. I moved out one year later and never looked back."

"My family and I moved in towards the ending of March 2023 and we’ve had nothing but an amazing experience with Canyon Terrace! When we moved in, Jorge was an amazing help, he worked with us and made it super easy and helped us find the right spot. Definitely recommend!! The apartments are beautiful inside and out. You won’t be disappointed!"

"God awful place to live. Do not live here it's a dump. Management is terrible. Garbage overflows into the street. They keep shutting the water off for construction. Nails everywhere in the road. Sooooo noisey. Just a real nightmare. They lied to me about the construction and refuse to let me break my lease to move out of this awful place. It has 0 amenities. 0."

"I lived here for about a year, I moved in June 2021 into a two bedroom 1 bathroom unit with no laundry appliances for $1750 a month. Upon moving in, we were not able to see the unit until the day of move in which was not ideal. We also were not being updated on the status up until move-in day. The unit was supposed to come renovated, but it wasn’t. The floors were redone and the carpets but the bones of the apartment were so rickety and fragile. The kitchen appliances barely worked and the fridge would freeze our stuff in the fridge and melt our stuff in the freezer. The kitchen had a stench coming from the disposal that was never able to be resolved despite trying many cleaning methods. Hopefully none of that is relevant now that they are renovating everything in the kitchens. We began seeing roaches frequently in our unit, so we had maintenance caulk the door and areas of the house but we kept seeing them. We also sprayed around the unit and outside. They were coming from outside and up the drains. We ended up covering our drains but that did not stop them from getting in somehow. There are roaches all over the sidewalks that you can see walking around the complex in the evening. When I approached Jen about this at the office, she told me that everyone has them and to pour bleach down my drains and I will be fine. She said the pest control doesn’t even come out unless routine scheduled because it’s such an issue in the county. The roaches were the worst part of living there, honestly. Pros: main bedroom had a great closet space, there was ample storage in the unit due to a big shelf wall in front of the kitchen, cabinet in the hallways. Believe it or not but tons of places do not have space for storage! It is also in such a nice area, pretty trees surrounding complex. Amazing area for walks!!!! Close to the river and hiking trails. Starbucks, a gym, mailing center, restaurant and dollar tree are super close within a 1-3 minute walk from complex. Complex also had seasonal events with free goodies for the community which was great. In April 2022, we were notified they were doing renovations and we would have 60 days to leave or we could stay and they will move us to the same but “newly renovated” unit for $2300 a month. We could not afford the rent increase. All of my neighbors were forced to leave in the middle of a terrible housing market. They did nothing to help transition us or accommodate the move besides waving the last 15 days of rent. We did not enjoy this complex at all. I am excited I found a complex in Roseville for $1850 a month already renovated fully with a washer and dryer. I have been here a year now and love it. Oh and… not one roach! Overall, the leaving experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I couldn’t handle the roaches! I hope their new management does better!"

"Moving from WI to CA for work driving me crazy with scheduling and planning everything. Jorge one of the mangers, made this transition so much easier for me! Even tho, I went there to check the apartment in person, he was welcoming and worked with my 3 days trip schedule. Even after leaving the town, he kept in touch making sure to give me all the info I needed, even recorded videos of other apartments to show me all the available options that I might like. There are a lot of services he provided to make my life easier for me. I don’t want to make this review longer than I should. If you got to this far, the place is under construction which might caused bad reviews, which they try to make the place looks bad, by not mentioning the management offered temporary place .. etc. Those bad reviews are not true, the apartments are all upgraded and nice staff in a good area. Soon the they will finish the pool and fitness center as well. This review turned into me defending the place, loved Jorge service and he deserves this review."
