"I've lived here now for about 5 years, so I'll start with the good things about living here. Pros: T he area that the apartments are located is pretty quiet outside of fireworks holidays, there's a small neighborhood on one side and a partially empty commercial complex on the other. The current maintenance team is very quick to deal with issues as long as it's something they can deal with themselves. Problems requiring a specialist or an outside contractor will take longer. Cons: The company that used to manage this complex was excellent, but it was bought by North Coast United about 2 years ago. There's no full time on-site management, and the current person responsible "manages many properties" and is there very rarely and doesn't actually deal with any issues. Parking is pretty terrible, each apartment has one assigned spot and unassigned parking is limited, so fire lanes and dumpsters are blocked every night. As a result, trash isn't picked up about once a month or so because the trucks can't get to them. There used to be passive aggressive mass texts from the aforementioned manager about not parking there, but they were wholly ignored and have since stopped. The complex isn't smoke free, despite any indication otherwise, and is not a good place for children if you're concerned about future health issues that arise from regular exposure to second hand smoke. The renovated apartments replaced carpeting with faux wood floors as it's the current style, but as a result you'll hear everything thing that happens in your neighbor's apartment, even if they are considerate. The electrical work in these apartments is pretty shoddy, you'll regularly trip a circuit in your apartment by doing something as simple as turning off the kitchen light. I'd say you'll get used to it, but you really shouldn't have to."
"I've lived at Sungarden since 2017 and the office staff have always been kind and professional. They have been taking care of the property over the past several years and have addressed the energy efficiency issues with new modern air conditioning systems, new dual pane windows and sliding glass doors, and even upgraded the water heaters. They've taken fantastic care of me over the years, and the annual rent bumps have always been reasonable. I look forward to living here for years to come!"
"Very quite on a busy street. Management is responsive with maintenance request and have made several large upgrades in the last year. My 1st time living in an apartment in 30+ years. I am very happy here. Great park like setting with walking areas and nice people."

"I enjoyed living in the Sungarden Apartments so much that I came back! I am nearing the end of my second stay in these apartments. I lived here for a year in 2009 and came back for a year and a half in 2013-14. The only reason I am leaving now is because I just bought a home. The office staff have always been nothing but friendly and helpful. They are quick to handle any maintenance issues and seem to always be looking to improve the property. They have recently replaced the balconies, repainted the buildings, repaved the parking lot, and updated some of the lighting. I live in an upstairs 1 bed 1 bath and very rarely hear the people downstairs. I have had two different neighbors beside me and have never once heard any sounds coming from them. So either I have lucked out with quite neighbors or we have thick walls with good insulation. The apartment has a nice functional layout and plenty of usable space. My one complaint is the kitchen is a bit small and outdated, but for the the price it is hard to complain. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my decision to live here... twice. If you are looking in the area, do yourself and stop by."
