"If you like the smell of marijuana, this is the place for you! Almost every day you can smell it someplace around the complex, and clearly management isn't interested in taking any serious action to prevent pot smoking in apartments. (They say they are in compliance with local regulations, and maybe they are, but if so that is too low a bar.) I hate the smell of skunk weed, and I often had pot smoke in my apartment because the ventilation ducts of adjacent apartments are connected. Sometimes the smoke was so bad it made me cough! My apartment supposedly had a renovated kitchen, but I discovered that the renovations were only superficial. Cabinet doors and drawer fronts were replaced, but behind them were old, disgusting shelves and drawers. Some of the drawers squeaked loudly whenever I opened or closed them and wouldn't lie flat when opened. One of my cabinet doors fell off my first week in the apartment. A maintenance person put it back on, but it fell off again a couple of days later because he had simply reinserted a screw into an old hole, from a previous cabinet door, that was too large. I fixed the problem properly myself rather than go through another cycle of botched repair. The apartments are not well-insulated against sound from neighboring apartments. I had a top-floor apartment, and the people under me repeatedly complained about my being too loud when I walked in soft house shoes around the apartment during quiet hours. The breezeway outside my apartment and three others was filthy with dirt and debris. I lived at Apex for 6 months, and it was never swept once -- and judging from appearances when I moved in, hadn't been swept once in the previous 6 months either. Krystal and Jessica in the leasing office were always polite, which is the reason I am giving two stars instead of one. My complaints are direct at upper-level management."
"My 6 year old son and I loved living here for 2 whole years!!! The staff is top notch. Krystal and Jessica makes it like a high class resort. The location is perfect. Right on the river and close to lots of shops and restaurants! Thanks for a great stay!"
"I mostly liked living here! It was nice being near the river and the apartments are good. But the area has some serious issues and it kind of got worse while I was living there. I had my catalytic converter stolen off my car and then I had my wheels stolen off my other car. Other residents have had their wheels stolen and their vehicles vandalized. Even the water heaters were vandalized. There’s a lot of homeless in the area and a lot of people who rummage through the dumpsters. I wouldn’t recommend living here."
"I lived here since March 2020 and it hasn't been a pleasant experience at all. Especially after management changed and they hired two young women who just sit there for free money. They're constantly in office and whenever I call 9 times out of 10, they don't answer. They don't answer emails. You have to physically go to the front office which isn't always possible. They give lip service. They don't do anything about complaints or enforce certain rules everyone signs on the lease. The homeless are constantly rummaging through the dumpsters and leaving a mess behind. The security company they hired sends out lazy patrols. They water the grass for hours on end despite being in a drought or if it just rained. They raise the rent with each new lease. Stopped upkeeping the laundry rooms so that your only option is to request to have an in unit washer but your rent will go up. They tore a wash room down just to build a weight room almost no one uses. They're bringing in young, rude tenants and basically forcing families out. There's almost never any parking. Out of nowhere they started charging people just to park in their car port. The pool is their pride and joy but it's only open 2 second out of the entire year. They don't manage the hot tub in the winter. The minute you move you, they're gonna stop caring about you or whatever complaints you have. It is not worth the high price at all"
"I moved here August 2019 and love it. I was leaving a place that I loved and was only moving to get closer to work so I wasn't exactly thrilled at moving but now that I'm here it's amazing! Every single person that works here is so friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough kind words about Ashley and Mike (maintenance). While I understand it can be part of their job to know each resident that can be impossible and I have always felt welcomed by both. I just met the new leasing agent but she seems to incredibly sweet as well. Sure parking can be an issue if you have two cars or a guest coming over but I feel like that's fairly normal with any place I've lived. And yes the homeless will go through the trash but honestly I haven't had any negative "run ins". The apartments are gorgeous and updated. The laundry room I use is always clean and while I know some people have had problems with the app I have not experienced any issues. They are installing a dog wash too and while my dog gets her baths in the tub (she's 16lbs) it just shows how dog friendly they are. I recommend any one looking to live close to the river (it's literally your backyard) and close to a lot of amenities check out this complex. The rental rates may seem high to some but I did a ton of research prior to moving here and I think it's a steal of a deal. Shout out to this community for being awesome and really making it feel like a home!"
