Reviews of Wexler Apartments
"It took me a while to write this and honestly, I don’t a lot of time to go over the terrible terrible stuff that this apartment put me through. Denise was straight up rude and because I spoke her language she canceled my lease without my permission as I hadn’t violated lease terms, never even made in person to the apartment. They are not knowledgeable about ANYTHING! They were contradicting so much information to the point where I expressed my frustration and the management did nothing to attend to me. Upon speaking to Luis he was rude and gave me no explanation as to why my lease was canceled as well as Joseph! When I reached out to corporate I got in contact with the regional manager and she made the situation better for a second until she called me back making up LIES saying I had a bad record and they couldn’t accept me. She blocked my number and I contacted HER supervisor about it and I know she was suspended for sometime! Terrible accommodation, as I spoke with other residents who have had similar experiences! They are being sued! I could provide screenshots of the emails but I’ll hold off on all things! Asset living !"
"Great place to live unless there is no power (which is more common than you think). To get into any of the buildings or rooms you have your key on your phone. When the power is out they don’t work and you are screwed. Instead of an app as a key you guys should have something that doesn’t rely on technology."
"Wexler is such a comfortable place to live! Everything you could possibly need is nearby, including great food! The pool and 24 hour gym really seals the deal. I really love all the social events they host!"
"I have been a resident here since the end of last August. I wanted to wait until the one-year mark to write a review, but there have been some inconveniences that I have experienced that I think will affect the living experiences of others. As a college student, the furnished apartments make it easier to move in considering that they have a desk and bed ready for you in your apartment. Having a fridge and washer/dryer in your unit is also convenient, although you may need to share it with your housemates depending on your chosen floor plan. There are certain amenities that all residents share, such as a pool, a 24-hour gym with vending machines and a water fountain, and a lounge area with a study room and kitchen. I really like the 24-hour gym and a coffee machine that we can use in the clubhouse kitchen, although occasionally it is out of order. Another amenity that is available for people to use is an outdoor fireplace. However, it was shut down for nearly the entire winter. When we needed it most, we weren't able to use it. I have also had an issue with other residents throwing parties late at night in the clubhouse and making enough noise to keep me from getting good sleep. I understand that residents want to have fun and enjoy the college experience, but it would be nice if silent hours were more strictly enforced for people who are actually trying to sleep. The biggest issue that I've had with living here is the fact that there is always undisposed garbage in the garbage disposal room. It is disgusting to see that residents do not pick up after themselves when they attempt to throw away garbage and some of their trash falls out. Some residents do not even try to throw away the garbage, they simply leave their garbage bags in the garbage room and do not dispose of it. It's completely ridiculous considering that all they have to do is open a chute and throw out their trash bags. Something needs to be done to enforce cleanliness in the garbage room. There is a security camera in that room, so I hope that the management team at Wexler will let people know that they will penalize the people who do not clean up after themselves if their trash bags spill or if they just leave their stuff there for someone else to throw away. The garbage disposal room smells, and I don't think it's because of the chutes. People do not properly dispose of their garbage and it stinks the place up. I have provided photos to prove what I am complaining about. Another issue I have is that not all residents get a parking space within the parking lot on the premises. The area around the apartments is kind of sketchy despite the fact that it is so close to the Sacramento State University campus and other businesses. Students who don't have a parking space must look for parking elsewhere. The only options where you won't get towed are behind the grocery outlet shopping center next to the apartments. It is dimly lit back there and there are homeless people who sleep in the area. One of my housemates got their car broken into. By who, that is unknown, but he suspected it to be a homeless person that was going through people's vehicles. If you think of signing up here, please consider these risks. Inside the apartments I feel safe. Other than not enforcing silent hours, I think the security does a good job of patrolling the place and keeping it peaceful."
"Overall, it is nice to live here. But security is truly getting annoying. I laugh one time in my own living room out loud and I get a noise complaint and this isn’t the first time. It’s so irritating and it isn’t our faults as residents that we have the room above the security office. If they come back ever again regarding a complaint, I’ll take it up to the leasing office because I can’t enjoy having a good time with my own roommates in my own apartment. I even caught the security guard waiting out in the waiting room near our elevator trying to catch us make a little sound. I’m so over it. Security doesn’t do anything here, they’re useless. If it continues, I will be renewing somewhere else."
