Reviews of Garfield Village Apartments
"Great experiences. Everything smooth and in order. But expectations are people, talk to them, great, friendly manager. Kids love pool."
"Coming off a busy road this place is dimly lit, it would be extremely helpful if management would put the address on the sign so people who deliver can confirm. It would also be great if the put lighting by the bldg #'s so people can see, this can be very difficult at night"
"Can't get anything fixed around here so you have to call code enforcement. My ceiling was leaking a few years ago and I had soft spots all over my apartment they had professionals come and check the moisture in the walls and all readings were higher then the normal prior to that we had mentioned to the manager that it had to be fixed he said no problem we will and a year later nothing so Code enforcement was called and manager has fixed those issues since then. About a few months ago we had to temporarily move out because we kept getting mold by windows and bathroom even with me cleaning with bleach every other day. Since then he has put a vent, insulation which it never had and new windows. The furnace is always breaking. There has been a few times where we have had to go into dirty apartments to shower because the apartments on our side didn't have hot water. My recent problem with this manager was the caulking in the bathroom had a small crack and eventually cracked all the way around the bath tub we put in a repair form to have this fixed when I got home he changed the Faucet in my kitchen which was never in the repair request and he also said he couldn't caulk my bathroom because it was wet. So I'm doing everything I need to do and he just doesn't care. Mind you a few weeks later I called code enforcement again because it has been a month and some change since he spoke to us about the repairs. I called Friday morning and on Monday when we saw him cleaning the pool he said to us that if we wanted him to do the repairs we had to be gone from our apartment and it had to be dry which made absolutely no sense because it wasn't even wet the first time we shower at night and the bathroom tub has plenty of time to dry. I didn't even reply to him with anything but I'm calling code enforcement again simply because why does it take 1 month to just fix a small issue in the bathroom? He left a note on my door same day we spoke by the pool said he was going to fix the bathroom the tub. & that is only because I stated I would call C.E which he didn't know I had already called. After he received code enforcement note he went ahead and wrote a warning letter to me for a glass bottle my little brother had this incident happened 2 months ago he had already given me a verbal. Also gave me a warning for being rude to him? Ridiculous because he's the rude and lazy manager who doesn't do anything until someone else is called. I also lost my mailbox keys and he said to my husband we usually charge but I will change lock for free after receiving code enforcement note he said I am now charging you $20 this manager is inexperienced and does not know how To manage apartments at ALL!! Whenever you talk to him he rolls his eyes I'm surprised they haven't rolled out of his head. I'm not chained to my legs and would love to move but haven't had any luck since most apartments have a waiting list this sucks hopefully I find a house soon living here has been a complete nightmare."
"The Complex is 46yrs old according to Trulia. Floors did creak while walking lighty and were heard by downstair neighbors. cramped single car space. Security officers and corridor cameras should be petitioned for by the residents. Other than the loud noises and sleepless nights; The 6.66 years was alright and worth the rent."
"No one should ever rent here there are rats the manager is racist it's just all bad no one should rent here and the property is so ugly inside and out it's just a very old building and the rent is very high I will recommend you to go to Garfield Court the ones behind them."
