Ashwood Apartments (Apt Building)

"I called to ask about renting an apartment for rent because it is one of the only places I can afford. I spoke to someone named George. He sounded like he didn't know what he was talking about. He expected me to want to move in right away. And he tried to get me to give them a holding deposit over the phone without seeing the apartment first. He told me I could not see the unit because it was not ready but I could look at a two-bedroom that was similar. When I went to our appointment later that day there was no one in the office. They did not answer the phone or return my message. It was shady and unprofessional. And there were homeless people camping at the rodeo and in the 7-11 parking lot next door. I am not going to be renting from them because I don't want to deal with the management. I feel bad for the people who live there."

"I have lived here since 2016 due to the affordable cost (at the time), and many of the issues that plague this location have yet to be addressed. This place suffers from cracked slabs/ foundations, constantly malfunctioning plumbing, broken gates to the parking lot, bugs getting into units from unknown locations (despite how much we clean the place), tenants who smoke tobacco and/or marijuana where it will blow into your unit and a management team that RARELY answers the phone. Even the "emergency" line for maintenance goes unanswered. As soon as possible I will be taking my family out of here and never looking back. Update: Smokers have made this place nearly uninhabitable. We cannot air out our unit because of the stink outside. We are exploring whether this issue can be resolved through litigation. Renter beware."

"These apartments aren't even worth the rent or your time to even look at. My sister has lived here for almost 2 years and just last week her hot water was shut off for about 4 days. If it's not the hot water it's having NO water with no notice of an emergency or otherwise. I can't wait till they can finally move out of this place. Maintenance thinks everything is a joke and I have never seen management ever. These apartments needs MAJOR help."

"They don't answer the phone. No one in the office on a Tuesday at 11am. Hard to find managers office. They have a big sign they are renting, but I guess that means nothing. Renters on site told us that some units have bed bugs, which was clearly backed up when we saw boxes of Borax on the top of their overflowing dumpster. Renters also reported flooded apartments and being ignored for weeks with maintenance issues. Pretty sad all these people have poor management. The rent is high enough to keep the place maintained. Needless to say I will look elsewhere for an apartment."
