"Historic building (read: old). Sometimes effective property managers. Unskilled, inept and inappropriate handymen and subcontractors. My own handymen are puzzled/entertained at their work. Residents are a mixed bag- friendly, courteous and also stuck-up and down-right rude. Many dogs (and lots of barking/whining/howling). The walls are thick; the floors/ceilings are very thin,. Test ALL appliances and utilities before moving in- some don't function properly if at all. Overall quiet area with infrequent 4AM serenades by the area's homeless population, and 9-5 jackhammering from endless infrastructure work. Truly quaint."

"I was lucky enough to live in this wonderful building for the better part of a year. Would have stayed much longer, but an out of state move made me leave. The location is fantastic, a walkers paradise! Downtown, the Zoo, Little Italy etc. are all within a 10 min walk! Parking is prevalent, neighbors are respectful and management is great! A historic building doesn't come without issues, but things are always handled quickly and efficiently. Super pet friendly, this place is a San Diego gem!"
