Reviews of Woodlawn Apartments
"I loved living here from June 2018 to February 2019. I didnt move because of an issue with the property. The property mangers, Zac and Lauren, do such a good job taking care of the property, its clean and inviting, especially considering it is pet friendly. There is a gravel area that goes along half the length of the property, with waste bags available. There is also grass out front if your furry friend prefers. The units themselves are good. At 700 square feet its perfect for a couple and pets, but if you have children you may consider someplace else to accommodate more people. The appliances are stainless steel and the kitchen has granite counter tops. Our apartment was on the second floor and had a faux wood laminate flooring with carpet in the bedroom and tile in the bathroom. The lower units are tile throughout with the exception of the bedroom. There is a lot of natural light in the unit, horizontal blinds come standard and offer relief from that harsh summer sun. There is central air which does a spectacular job cooling and heating the unit and a heater fan in the bathroom to reduce the chance of mold. The electrical in the apartment is strong. Not once did I have a power outage. The lighting fixtures in the dinning and bathroom area are stylish and bright. There is onsite laundry, 4 washers (1 desingated for Pet Articles) and 4 dryers. There is 1 trash dumpster and 1 recycling dumpster, which I thought cut down on waste sitting outside the bin immensly. And if I ever had a problem with anything, the property managers were quick to resolve it. I had a seal in my bathtub and bathroom sink break and they promply fixed it. Any time maintenance is done by request, you are emailed a survey to complete afterwards. I thought this was a neat way to hold your managers accountable for their quality of work. Whenever unscheduled maintenance was done by the managers, they would print out a notice days in advance stating the nature of the work and apologizing for any inconvenience and place it on the door. An email would also be sent. Friendly email reminders were once a month to remind tenants that rent was due. I simply loved the managers. They were so kind and professional. The only issues I had were my neighbor's children being loud and littering the property with trash. There is also another complex next door that would play loud mexican music, let their children run amuck and hang their laundry to dry on our fence. Their maintenance/groundskeeper keeps his patio filled with garbage, recycling (aluminum cans), bicycles and make shift walls which look SUPER TRASHY. He goes around and digs through the neighboring apartment units recycle bins for alumnium which is also extremely trashy. His apartment drasticaly hurts the appeal of wanting to live there. His wife or whoever also stands on the patio and just STARES AT PEOPLE. (I lived right across from their unit) The friends of people in that complex would also sit in the parking lot and honk their horns repeatedly to get their other friend's to come out. This is rude as sometimes it was as early as 6am and as late as 10pm. Their apartment manager needs to do a better job enforcing rules and setting noise regulations. He also needs to tell his maintenance guy to clean his pigsty. Anyway, I highly recommend living here aside from the nature of the neighboring complex. It was my first apartment with my husband and I miss it and the managers already! Thanks for making it enjoyable. I hope to return one day!"
