Reviews of Shadowridge Woodbend
"Their management company, Greystar, consistently violates their own lease agreement AND consumer protection laws, enough to be currently involved in a class action suit. DO NOT RENT WITH GREYSTAR. I moved out 2 years ago and am still fighting them legally. Woodbend itself, the staff were incredibly difficult to get a hold of to assist in resolving maintenance issues etc. Their online portal randomly erases auto pay info and you end up late on rent with no notice of missing payment info."
"Buckle up. This is going to be a long one. DO NOT move to this awful place. Hopefully my story will be a cautionary tale on why you should avoid this place at all costs. I had issues with this place from the start. First, they are the most over priced place with the crappiest quality. I had a friend who lived there in the same exact apartment model (1/1) and she was paying $1800 for an apartment they had me paying $2400 for. ABSOLUTE PRICE GAUGING. I moved here from across the country. I told them that I would be staying at an Airbnb for two weeks while I waited for my apt to be “ready.” Once I moved in, I expected the apartment to be ready. Surprise, it wasnt. The following are a list of things I moved into: 1. Dishwasher didn’t work. Like AT ALL. Long story short, I had an unworking dishwasher for 6 months of the 15 months I lived there. I was never compensated for this btw. 2. The handle to the door of the pantry didn’t move. I didn’t bother having them fix this though because I didn’t want to overburden them with something that didn’t affect the functionality of it. 3. The sink was leaking underneath (I did not even notice this until a few months into living there when I came back from a trip and it was flooded underneath. Super fun! 4. The bathroom door was stuck. This was never fixed btw. This was just THE START of me living there. For clarity, I am a single woman in her 30’s. No kids. (This will be important later) Throughout my time there, my parking spot was blocked AT LEAST twice a month. Sometimes every week. I would come home from work and someone would just be parked in front of it loading/unloading something. After almost a year of this I finally called the office and complained. And finally the thing that pushed me over the edge was them deliberately misleading me so I would have to pay two more weeks of rent. One week prior to my lease ending, I called them and told them I was 100% unequivocally not going to renew my lease. My bf was going to be moving in with me so we were looking for a two bedroom. My lease was up on the 18th but they made it sound like it was fine to let them know later. On the phone and in person (surprise never in writing) they told me “oh it’s no big deal you can just let us know by the 31st that you aren’t staying.” That was a lie because when I finally did tell them we had a place lined up, they then informed me that I had to pay two weeks at $2600 since my notice was given on the 31st. :) (Now, I am not from here. Where I’m from, if your lease is up, it’s up. You have to let them know if you ARE renewing not if you aren’t so I wasn’t clear on this which is how they were able to trick me when I asked if I should provide notice early or not.) And the worst thing this awful company did was they kept my entire deposit after my bf and myself were over there cleaning that apartment until 2am to make sure it was perfect. Again for reference, we did not break anything. I was living there BY MYSELF with no pets, no kids, no one came over except for my boyfriend to visit from another state. We are two working professionals. We did not damage anything. We cleaned the apartment thoroughly. They still found a way to steal my entire $700 deposit with bogus charges and a $100 dollar water bill. For one person??? Also, there is no washer and dryer in the 1/1 or 2/1. So your water bill is extreme for having to pay like $20 everytime you do laundry and not having a W/D in the apartment. They literally charged me $100 for a final water bill FOR TWO WEEKS. AVOID THIS AWFUL PLACE AT ALL COSTS."
"I am 63 years old. I moved into that complex that was my biggest mistake, they the biggest liar I ever met and they don’t explain any of the charges. Thank God, it was a temporary stay. Their Jacuzzi did not work for the two months I stayed in until the last week I went five times and I left multiple messages to the office until it was fixed. They double charge you triple charge you for things And no one to talk to about it. warning, warning, warning it’s The worst place that you could live in very unprofessional, especially the staff in the office. They don’t return calls. They very rude they don’t respond to messages they don’t respond to anything."
"The apartment we got was big and homey, but it did have little things wrong with it. The fridge base would slid off and the sliding door to the patio would always come off the base. The community itself is beautiful and very walkable! I had a fine time applying for the place and the management even pushed for our application when we initially didn't qualify. Also for parking, ITS EASY!! If you have a parking pass for unreserved that basically means you can park anywhere that is not covered by a roof. I don't understand why many said it was hard, but maybe there were improvements made throughout the years."
"Claimed as luxury apartments. Two bedroom double Masters with washer and dryer included. Very nice, responsive staff, easy to work with. Multiple management companies in the last several years. Landscaping services have taken a downturn in the last year or so. Pool area is nice!"
