Palma de la Reina Apartments

"If you are considering moving here there are several positives. I have been here for many years back when they first started leasing. It is super quiet at night, the location is great, the building is clean, new construction so you don't have to worry about common mold issues here in San Diego, the property manager is conscious and wonderful. The downsides are CONSTANT landscaping every single day with benzene gas blowers coming into your unit, which is carcinogenic and very dangerous for your health. It is literally the gas blower capital of the world, and believe me I am not exaggerating when I say this. If you work from home, this will be a constant disruption that will impact your business in a negative way. They come at random times and there's no way to track what they do and when they come. It starts around 8-9 a.m. and can continue all the way through to the afternoon with no way of knowing when that toxic gas is going to blow right through your apartment. There has been progress where they will use an electric blower for the most part however there are still times when benzene is used. If you have any sort of Health sensitivities please consider this very carefully. There is also regular pesticide used here. Other than that it is a nice complex. Boutique feel, carport parking by your unit as opposed to underground and conscious people who live here. We all feed the hummingbirds! The trees/flowers surrounding the property are exceptional! UPDATE: The complex has since spoken to the gardening staff and they are no longer using the gas blowers inside the complex. They have also dialed back the constant gardening intrusion so there isn't the issue there was before. Very grateful for this commitment and care to ensure their tenants enjoy their experience here. 5 stars! :)"

"As the electrical contractor who wired the project, I know first hand the love and care Richard Cavanaugh put into building these units. It has been his life mission to see this project finished. He and his two grandsons Michael and Caleb continue to run the day to day operations, all great people who strive to provide a great experience for their tenants. Their offices are on site and they very responsive to any problems, which would be few. Truly a great story of a local family improving their community in a grand scale. These are beautiful new apartments located at the entrance of Rancho Santa Fe, so great weather. They are conveniently located next to a new office, retail area, and golf course. Only a few minutes drive to the historic Rancho Sante Fe Village and all the amenities of the Del Mar area, yet tucked away in a peaceful location. A great advantage to a new project is being the first person to live in it. Imagine moving into a brand new unit within days of signing the lease without spending the million dollars this zip code demands for these sized and appointed homes."
