"I have been to this location multiple times. Almost had our wedding here. I was just recently here for a holiday party and not sure what the mix-up was. The food was subpar. The meats were dry, mash potatoes are instant potatoes, and the roll that was served was stale and has been in the freezer too long as the bun was dry and crumbly. I couldn't even finish what was served. Toward the end of dinner, they started to clean up tables... as in the remove table and chairs that guests were using, so there was room to dance. Which is kinda rude and poor planning. Then the workers started to remove glassware so they could do dishes and if we wanted water to get water from the bar. Mind you, people were still eating. Yall might as well just stick to plastic if that is the case. I ended up using the bathroom and overheard a worker, saying the food is catered and they plan to kick everyone out at 11 pm. Now the place is beautiful beside the old floral chairs. They host many different events. The ballroom is not big enough for 150 plus people. The entry hallway is beautiful and perfect for a ceremony. They have a "green" room filled with historics. There's even an upstairs area for the bridal party to use to get ready for their day. I knew food was catered because it was one of the down falls of why we didn't have our wedding here and that they are a year or two booked in advance for weddings. I am not sure what has happened, but it was kind of a letdown. It's totally fine to use catering services, but at least put out business cards so the food representation doesn't give the building a bad name for food. Also, the catering was not enough food/ food options. People were still hungry by the end of the night."
"My husband and I had our wedding reception here. It was my dream to have it at the Polish Center. I will say that everything on our wedding day went perfectly - the space was beautiful, the service was great, the food was delicious. However, we had a lot of headaches during the planning process. We unfortunately ran into a transition with the banquet manager and chef, which led to a lot of miscommunications and certain things we were promised upfront were not fulfilled and put on us, the customers, to figured out just weeks out from the wedding. I would recommend the Polish Center, but I would be very clean on expectations with the banquet manager, and if you run into any issues, just talk to Jeff because we received the bese customer service from him."
"This place makes me proud to be Polish! It’s such a beautiful building in a lovely setting, and I love coming for the pop up events like paczki pickup or as we did this week, grabbing a cooler full of pierogi. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful, always an enjoyable experience."
"Great venue for weddings! Staff is what you'd expect & want. Couple places for picture taking, which as a photographer, I love!"
"I love the Polish Center, but especially the library here. Yesterday I came in about an hour until closing to search for books specific to Poles and Catholicism in Milwaukee- I was honest and told the women working that I had an essay due at midnight (that day)! They were beyond helpful in finding me resources and were very informative. They even informed me of a scholarship that I could apply for! I did get my paper in on time, all thanks to the lovely workers in the library here. They sell books (in Polish and English), movies, and even vinyl disks. Worth the visit 100%. I ended up borrowing books from the library but purchased a good amount of media as well- and my total only came up to $4.50! They only take cash though, so be prepared!"
