"Maintenance team is wonderful. The new management sucks however. I have been waiting on a new dishwasher for over three weeks now. I have to keep calling the office and getting no real answer. Super frustrating considering I’ve been here for over 3 1/2 years and always been a good tenant paying rent on time. The new management requires the maintenance team to jump through tons of hoops to get anything done now it seems. Very unfortunate. The parking is also an issue. If you get home after 4pm or leave to go anywhere on the weekends good luck finding a space on the street. We also seem to lose hot water every couple months and then we have to go DAYS without it, meaning I have to take cold showers which is ridiculous."

"The grocery baskets outside the gates next to Trader Joe's look unappealing. I feel like if someone follows me in late and something happens the me the building is going to be held responsible because the gates never close. There also needs to be a letter to go out to tell people to buy a grocery carrier."

"I recently visited SOFI Laguna Hills when I flew in to see my daughter. I had a rental car and immediately encountered a problem when I discovered there was not one single guest parking space. There are very few street spots out front which were, of course, all full given the size of the complex. No other nearby parking I could even find. The neighborhood across the street is all labeled private with signs you will get towed. I was forced to park in a spot for electric cars because there literally was NO other place to park. Of course, I got towed! I've never had this happen in my life. Cost me $577 to get the car back, then I parked 3 blocks away in a grocery store parking lot after that, praying I wouldn't get towed again! This is entrapment. What a great gig for that towing company! Beyond the parking, the apartment was just ok. The shower fluctuated from scalding to freezing throughout the shower, every day. But really, the parking is the key problem and it's unacceptable!"

"I could not have done it without the team at SOFI Laguna Hills. The neighbors are nice. The place is beautiful and the location is perfect. My kids and I will be very happy here for our new beginning. Thank you all for all you’ve done for us."

"I would give it no stars but it is not a option. Don't get fooled by the lower rate rent and low deposit. When you move out they charge you over $1200 in new carpet no matter how clean you leave it, painting even though walls super clean, and cleaning fee totaling close to 2K. And they charge for random utilities that us not even part of our lease, it is just outrageous things they added. Happy to share our closeout bill with anyone. You get what you pay for. We left apartment in pristine condition, see pictures. It is a smoking community even though they say it isn't like at pool, walkways, parking lot, everywhere eventhough they say it is not. Our neighbor downstairs is a heavy smoker and smoke smell started coming in into our apartment through vents. We notified office multiple times and they never dealt with it. We have never been able to enjoy the patio or leave any windows open and our apartment still smells like smoke. We ended up moving out early, 1.5 months early because smell it was just intolerable and eventhoughwe had already paid full month rent. They never provided relocation and they are charging us for the full lease and are retaliating and kept our deposit and charged us ridiculous amounts. A brand new carpet for over $1200 when we were there 11 months and carpet just needs a washing, new paint job, detailed cleaning when we paid to have it cleaned. Never rent here!! Pay the extra and go rent with Irvine company or others. What they offer is not real either, their business center had broken printer the entire time, computers didn't work sometimes, dirty grills, no offstreet parking, pool often had drinking loud parties past 11pm. They never did anything about it. So much drinking at this community, my car got hit even though it was parked; drunk people in the walkways at nights sometimes. New managers literally every other month because everyone would quit. Oh and be ready to have your car towed... there is not enough parking on the street, even though they tell you there us. The last manager when we were leaving and also quitting that week apologized and said main owners are horrible. There were people making out having sex at the pool bathrooms once that is how bad it is there. I understand they can't control everything but they don't even try or let you out of your lease when you complain and retaliate against you when you leave."
