Reviews of Amberwood Apartments
"I love living here :) Very calm area, the apartment is modern inside but its also full of nature outside to go walk around!"
"It’s litterally such a bad apartment, management dose not care at all about the apartment and what is wrong with it. If there is a problem with the house, we have to wait at least 4 months to get it done. The apartment in general is very bad as well with plumbing probalems, and leaky roofs when it rains. Just don’t move here, it’s bad. I would have at least said if it was good if the management was good but it’s horrible"
"Review after Living here 10+ years!! I lived here since I was around 2-3 grade. Now I'm in my fourth year in college about to graduate. We are finally moving this month and I've seen so many changes to this place and community from their swimming pool renovation, replacing the window and patio doors, adding tropical trees and more. Maybe several years ago, there was a new manager named Joe Banuelos. He disrespected my family and we had so much conflicts with him. What's worse is that he escalates the problems raising his voice and heating up while he came to fix some things in the apartment. It wasn't one time; it was a many time. His attitude as a manager was very unprofessional. Recently he hit my car. Here is the story: "Today (11/24/2020) roughly around 12:30PM, I parked in the loading zone next to the laundry and mail building. While coming out of the laundry room after a minute or two, I see the manager's (Joe Banuelos) black Jeep pull out of the parking lot. There are no cars parked next to his car and there was plenty of room to leave the parking lot. However, I saw that he kept backing up and hit my car. (pictures below) Anyhow, as the manager I thought he would understand my frustration and at least apologize but all he did was accuse me saying that I should not park there (green zone?) or that I parked there too long when I was just in front of my car, witnessing the whole accident. As we were arguing, he confronted me violently and kept asking what was wrong with my attitude. I was so shocked and this made it even worse. As a victim, I felt very unsafe at this apartment. Who would of thought that the manager would hit your car and be so careless about it?" After few weeks, while going to my other car, I came across Joe cleaning the pathway. He finally apologized and asked me to remove my review. I was glad he apologized so then I removed the review having a change of heart. After other incidents I now feel that his apology was only so that I removed the review. There is also a lady manager who is very kind unlike Joe. I needed to do the laundry and only had a $10 bill. I handed the money to Joe to charge the laundry card but he said it only accepts $20 bills. Few weeks later, my mom went to charge the laundry again only with a $10 bill. Instead of Joe, my mom went to the lady. Miraculously she was able to put $10 to the laundry card. The lady actually tries to help you as much as possible. After two months dealing with his Insurance company and not receiving complete payment yet, there were problems with us moving and it got delayed. We are supposed to move out next week but because of coronavirus in the house we decided to move to, we aren't able to move on time and it seemed like we have to stay additional two weeks. I called in the office and Joe answered and he did not try to help us at all or give some solutions. All he would do is just say no. Just in general I feel that the management is very disorganized and unprofessional. They tell us they will fix the garage door tomorrow morning around 10-11am and it was a no show. I understand that maintenance also has their time too but shouldn't the management have it scheduled to fix it for us and not forget about it? Well no one shows up so I'm guessing not. After few weeks to months of waiting, I have to call them back to fix it. Point is you will need to call them multiple times and wait few months until something in the apartment is fixed. In conclusion, After living here for over ten years and coming across many managers, Joe isn't a great manager. No matter how hard I try to change my mind, there is always something else that makes me disappointed. This apartment is definitely old and is going to need many repairs as you live here. Because the management isn't up to the standards compared to how many repairs it needs, its clearly going to be frustrating in the long run."
"I know there are some mixed reviews on google here, but my roommates and I really enjoyed our stay here. Water pressure wasn't great, but everything else about the experience was pretty phenomenal. Management was flexible and easy to work with and the parking was great. It actually felt like a relaxing retreat in the middle of O.C.. I left the country for a job, but if I hadn't I certainly would have stayed there."
"Living in Amberwood, Buena Park for 12 month 3 water leaks from ceiling Water pipe replacement - took 4 weeks 4 heater problems 3 AC Problems I don’t want to line up all the minor problems here. You should not expect any minor maintenances in Amberwood - they won’t response. Manager Joe and assistant Erica are in charge of the leasing office. Do Not expect the ordinary service from them. They will yell at you and threat you with giving 30 day notice to kick you out. I just got 30 day notice after my complaint for waiting 3 hours for towing a car parked on my parking space. There was nothing I can do other than waiting next to my parking space for 3 hours (I have record of calling time) I was so upset, and unfortunately complaint for. And that was my mistake. I forgot they were not ordinary people. So I am looking for other place to live, because there's nothing I can do or complain to.. You cannot believe it, huh?? Then Try it… Welcome to hell!!"
