"My partner and I were looking to relocate to Orange County. We were very conflicted between Cenza and another luxury apartment building. The team at Cenza was very accommodating and we were provided an apartment tour on Sunday by the amazing Leah, which was very convenient! My partner and I decided to call Jefferson Cenza our home, after Leah offered us an incredible move in offer. The apartment complex is brand new and the location is great, thus we decided to move- in November 2023! An oral agreement with Leah stated that a set amount of credit concessions would be allotted throughout our lease time frame. It was such a great amount of credits, that we decided to extend our lease from 12 months to 15 months. When rent was due in January 2024, we noticed an error on our payment portal. When I called the management team to clarify, they expressed that the credits for the concessions could no longer be allotted on a monthly basis due to system error. I felt lied too! Not having these concessions on a monthly basis means having to pay a couple hundred dollars out of pocket , to make up for the credits, that we were VERBALLY CONTRACTED and PROMISED! I spoke with Lily and Leah, both expressed that they "were sorry and there was nothing they could do." If we would've been told this from the beginning, we would have NOT moved into this apartment complex. This is very unfortunate that an oral agreement was made and revoked with no empathy. Oral contracts can be legally binding. I will not recommend Jefferson Cenza to my friends! We will be consulting with a lawyer. California has several laws to protect tenants from abusive apartment management companies!"
