"I honestly can't say anything about the pediatrics as a whole. I switched my children to this office and was met by extremely rude unpleasantry. The clerk was snarky and made me so uncomfortable I switched my children to a different pediatrician before they could even be seen. I was shocked to be met with this kind of energy at a children's doctor. Gentleness and kindness should be mandatory especially dealing with the children patients and families."

"I have been a patient here growing up brought all my children here never had no major issues I love Dr rhew and I miss Dr santucci I think the staff needs to take some compassion class or learn to not be so snappy on the phone even the after hrs line the people are really rude. I never understood it and don't know what the issue is."

"I have been coming to this medical clinic for about 4 years and all three of my children including recent newborn are assigned here. In the time we have been coming we have seen the same Pediatrician which is Dr. Denenberg and Dr. Millstein who offer excellent care whenever we have a concern with our children. For same or next day, we have seen other Pediatricians who are also great. Staff is friendly and courtesy especially Elizabeth who is first person of contact to Martin and Fatima who check your vitals. I highly recommend this clinic."

"My son was a patient at Bancroft Pediatrics since he was born. He is almost six now. My son’s pediatrician was Dr. Santucci for a little over three years. Dr. Santucci ended up leaving this office and moving away to practice in a different city. My husband and I still had my son be seen at this office even though the turnover for doctors is quite frequent. I gave birth to my second son and when released from the hospital he needed to be seen for his newborn check up. This office refused to see my son because they stated I had to have him on my insurance. They are very unprofessional and focus only on money not their young patients. Insurance will retro pay hospital and doctors bills for a newborn once a birth certificate is available and submitted to insurance. I was very frustrated with management and the whole operation at Bancroft pediatrics. They do not handle situations like this in the proper manner. I ended up calling another Pediatric office under UCSF Benioff Children’s umbrella as well in Castro Valley. This new office was very understanding and knew how to handle a newborn. They knew that the retro pay would kick in and made an appointment and saw my newborn and my son on the same day and time a day later after I called. They made my newborn a priority and also saw my son who needed to be seen as well which was stellar. Bancroft Pediatrics UCSF Benioff in San Leandro has very poor service. Management is very unclear and uneducated. I let a lot slide from rude phone technicians to the doctors always being new and never staying with this medical group. We dealt with this office for quite some time with its ups and downs. My last straw that made me leave was my newborn not being made a priority. Horrible medical care."
