"I’ve never been happier to move out of a place. What a nightmare. I moved into Moss and Co's new building, Thrive on Seventh in downtown San Pedro, six months ago with two other roommates. Firstly, the rent at Thrive is the same as at other buildings nearby, such as Vue and Harbor Front, with absolutely no amenities. Even the planned gym was scrapped and wiped from their site. Things were good for the first month or so until fees not on our lease started to pop up on our account to pay. While refusing to pay these, the money we did not pay was pulled from the month of free rent we got upon signing our lease, which we chose to spread over the entire year, completely unbeknownst to us until we used that concession up eight months earlier than we thought we would. With no replies back to our inquiries until we were told they would start with the eviction process. Things got hairer when my roomates decided to leave, just nine days before the end of the month. This left me to find a new apartment alone in hardly two weeks. When I stated I would need more time, I was given no sympathy, only that I would need to be out before the 31st or pay all of the Feb rent. Absolutely no grace or care when I was in a tough situation, all on my own after they left. This company is truly just a nightmare. I hope anyone reading this is simply researching possible living in a Moss property and decides to run far far away."

I wish I could give NEGATIVE STARS! they will try to add fees to your monthly rent that is not mentioned on your lease. this is super illegal and then will threaten you with lawsuits if you don’t comply, This is the worst apartment complex I have ever had to deal with! everyone working there is trying to take your money without seeing you as human. do not fall for this trap if you don’t believe me look up the parent company it has 1 star on the BBB consider yourself warned"

"Beware of Moss Management company. They operate very disorganized and unethically. The leasing approval process was delayed, confusing, and one day before moving in, they amended the contract with a higher rent. Despite the stressful experience, we proceeded due to the imminent move. The property charges many extras: parking, trash, sewer, water, renters insurance, and internet/cable, adding $400-550 of fees to a typical two-bedroom, which is unheard of. There is no way to opt out of Spectrum's $75 bundle which includes poor cable channel selection. Limited amenities like a small terrace and tandem parking don't justify the high cost. Poor services include confusing lease amendments, delayed installations, and maintenance issues. Elevator and garage gate breakdowns are frequent, causing inconvenience. After 6 months, the promised pre-installed window shades are still missing. The management folks are nice but the company would not even provide them basic office equipment in their leasing office, reflecting Moss Company's overall carelessness. Negative reviews at other locations indicate consistent issues. With vacant units for months here, this place is not worth the trouble. Other properties may provide a better rental experience with a pool/spa and more reliable options at that price."
