Reviews of Allendale Park
"the reason there are no residential areas built on this land is because of an incident now long forgot. In the sixties there were large sink holes that formed here. If you look at old maps from 100 yrs ago there was a creek that ran here. Across 52 to the west is Woodside Park with a drainage stream, and to the east there is evidence of what is left with the drainage ditch/Elton Hills Run Park that empties into the Zumbro River. Running west from E.H.R Park under Cascade is a storm sewer system we use to explore and it ended to the south of where this park is. They filled in the sink holes and built the park but my guess is many underground caverns are just waiting ??"
"This park was pretty nice. There are two different jungle gym setups, one is bigger than the other. There were some swings as well. There was a sand area with little toys for the kiddos to play with."
"Spacious with lots of picnic tables in shade and beautiful trees. Playground is good for a variety of ages and has a large sand pit. Swings are way too high for kids, my 7 y.o. almost needed help to get on. Park is tucked back off the road, which makes it easy to miss driving past. Lots of graffiti with some choice words."
"It's nice little park."
"Dinosaur Park is a classic, who doesn't love it! You can go there when its nice to play at the park or play tennis with your friends, visit in the winter and you'll find a nice place to ice skate! Beautiful."
