"My child, 1.5 years at the time of this post, loved the slides and running through the concrete tunnel. While not all activities are handicap accessible, the climbing wall for instance, there are a lot of structures designed with ramps for easy access. The bathrooms are locked off season, but a porta potty was available for usage."
"Woodridge has a very nice playground with a soft surface underfoot. It also has a number of adapted/adaptable things for special needs kids to play on. It has indoor plumbing rest rooms (in season), and nice covered picnic areas. There are also 2 ball fields, a hockey rink, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Behind it (to the north) is a good hill for sliding on if there's snow. The wooded hill to the east of the playground has some walking paths, and all the undergrowth was cleared out this last winter (2024)."
"Very big, has a wide variety of play equipment, and is usually very clean. The only downside is that the basketball courts attract older kids that blare loud music and use language I'd like my young children to not repeat."
"Another great one! It's a drive for us, but absolutely worth it. Fun for all ages and the kids cannot get bored. Climbing, tunnels, slides, swings, designated sand area, shaded picnic tables and indoor restrooms plus porta potties. Basketball court and I believe tennis as well. I truly wish we had more time to spend at this one. It appears there is a walking trail we'll investigate next time."
"This adaptive park is very nice. Many of the features in the park are wheelchair accessible and there are features with braille for visually-impaired people as well! The base of the park is soft and rubberized so itβs great for jumping but also for rolling wheelchairs or walkers. The whole thing well-designed for play. The park was full when we were there and itβs a really lively place. Great fun for all."
