"Very nice, and decent sized playground, with relatively new equipment from what I could tell. The "ground" of the playground is that kinda turf-like stuff with a little give when you walk on it, which is much better than sand/rocks/etc. No sand or pebbles getting trapped in your kids shoes here! There is a rather sad story attached to this place (not that something sad happened here, but rather how the park came to be/got it's name) that I won't share here. If you're curious, I'm sure a quick Google search will give you that information. I also think there were some things posted around to read that conveyed some of the story."

"This is the best playground in town! There are areas for small children/toddlers as well as larger equipment for kids. It is mostly fenced in and all of the levels of the playground are accessible. They also have drums and mallet instruments, small climbing towers, and numerous swings, including swings for children with special needs. I'm assuming the ground is recycled tires as is nice and soft, and there are several picnic tables and benches. At least one of the benches even has solar panels so you can bring a chord to charge devices. Hoffman Park, where the playground is, also has baseball fields, Frisbee golf, a closed in shelter, volleyball nets, a small skate park area, a large open field (the watershed, so it is often wet/flooded), walking/hiking trails, and an open shelter near a smaller playground in the back of the park. Dogs are allowed, there are public bathrooms and camping, and it is a great place to bring a family."
