"Arroyobro Beach, also known as Hendry Beach to local residents, is a public beach in Santa Barbara County, California. It is located along Cliff Drive, the terminus of Arroyo Burro Creek, at the foot of the Santa Barbara coastal bluffs of the Wilcox Estate, known as the Douglas Family Preserve, bordering the east. The community of Hope Ranch is approximately 1.6 km (1 mile) west. Arroyo Burro has a reputation as a "dog beach" and is a popular spot for dog owners to walk their pets off-leash, although the Arroyo Burro itself is actually a leash-free area. Located below and east of the Douglas Family Preserve). Surfers also frequent the beach waters, and outdoor showers facilitate the sport. Other recreational facilities at the beach include a grassy area with picnic tables and grills, and the Arroyobro County Park Complex with a restaurant and snack bar with outdoor and indoor seating."
