"I lived there for 7 years and the place was not bad. The manager Candy was very friendly, she was always aware of the maintenance of the apartment."
"Great"
"The star is only for the price. On average my two roommates and I paid $370 (including bills) per month for a 3 bedroom, 1 and a half bath unit. Other than that the complex is not a good place to live. It's located in a bad area and although we did not get victimized personally (my two roommates and myself), my roommate's boyfriend got his car broken into twice in a span of two weeks and the neighbors who live across the street appear to be into illegal activities since TPD is always there. Not to mention the fact that we've been woken up by a couple of their loud and violent outbursts at around 2-3 in the morning. On top of that, the manager herself is not pleasant to interact with. She was extremely nice in the beginning when I first moved in, but things went downhill quickly. Most notably was the time she racially profiled me and with the mold situation we had. Last December mold developed in our bathroom. My roommates and I tried to clean it off, but to no avail. We called the manager and told her about the situation and all she did was have the maintenance guys come in and paint over the mold which she charged us for. A few months later the mold came back (of course) and she saw it during one of her inspections. She acknowledged it, but this time did absolutely nothing about it. The worst part of that situation is that now that we're moving out she's most likely going to charge us for the mold AGAIN, and she's also been playing the fool acting like she wasn't aware of the mold to begin with and blaming us for the potential tenants not calling her back because of it. Which brings me to my final point: she makes moving out extremely difficult. Like any other apartment complex she wants the place to be as clean as possible upon moving out which is understandable. However, she does not let you clean the carpets yourself. No, she wants you to either hire a third party company or to go through her own people. If you choose to go third party, she makes you write a check to the company, give it to her so she can call the company, make sure they're legit, setup an appointment, and then gives them with the check. Not only do you have to go through all that trouble, but if she feels that the unit isn't clean enough she'll hire her people anyway to clean again and charge you for that too. I swear that has to be illegal. She drains you out of every cent she can before she no longer has the authority over you to do so. Bottom line: Avoid this place at all costs."
