"This to me felt like false advertising. It looks like maybe they moved locations or something, because a lot of the pictures are NOT of this place, at least as it is today. Like many said, it's a play café type of thing, this is NOT a museum and calling it such is a joke. There were like 3 glass cases in corners that looked like stuff they got in their backyard with nothing educational. The place was dirty, crap everywhere that was broken or seemed like something they got at a garage sale outside of like 1-2 coolish things. Our daughter is 20 months old and had clearly outgrown the "baby/toddler" room and the other slides that are the size she would typically like are incredibly unsafe. It looks like boarded up plywood where you can't see where your kid even is and you can't get to them as only kids can be on it. The price was also way higher than any other play place we've ever been (3x as much) as the parents also have to pay admission to just sit. It was a complete waste of time and we left after 30 minutes since our daughter was bored and it was gross. Also, the nursing room has a sink with no running water and the bathrooms had brown tinted water. We were so disappointed and felt completely mislead. I wanted to ask for our money back, but didn't think I could do so respectfully, so we just ate the cost and left. I would would not recommend this place at all. Go to the aquarium, the zoo, or someplace else."
"Well over priced for the experience. We have been to many children's museums with my six year old daughter and this is the only one she called boring 5 minutes after walking in the door. This is also by far the smallest children's museum she has ever been too. I would recommend taking your children to a free park and brave the weather or the union depot and learn something of interest."
"This is more of an indoor play place - similar to other places I've been to that call themselves play cafés - than a museum. When I think of a children's museum I expect a place with lots of exhibits and space, a place you can make a whole day or afternoon of moving from one section to the next, with a big gift shop. This place is mostly one big room with different corners of play, and your experience is greatly affected by who else and how many other kids are there at the same time. With that said, my 2-year-old had an absolute blast! If you need a break but need to keep your little one entertained and busy, this will do the trick. But if you are looking for a fun day out that the whole family can enjoy, I would recommend going elsewhere. We were only in Duluth for two days. The day we went here we debated between this museum or the zoo, and if you're in the same boat, I'd suggest the zoo."
"From the outside it looks a little questionable but don't judge the book by its cover. The inside was great for kids and one of the best Children's museums despite how small it is. The staff were friendly and more engaging than others. Lots of cool stuff the kids can interact with and do. Great for kids under 10 and some activities were fun for adults to engage with their kids."
"This is a fairly small children's museum with play area on two levels. There are many toys and exhibits to play with featuring local culture. Museum is orderly with friendly staff. There is a gift shop attached. Food is allowed but only on the first level. Large clean family restrooms. Exhibits are mostly design for ages 5 and younger. Good parking in two adjacent parking lots and on Street. $9 per person admission. Good place to spend a rainy afternoon."
