"Not worth it and management changed 3x in a year- highlights how unorganized this building is run. nothing is included- no utilities or parking, there are no extra amenities like a pool/gym to make the price worth it, even empty promises of a coffee shop being built downstairs- never started. We got in on a COVID deal and decided to not renew despite the cute apt. It’s a busy street in a bad area, my housemate and I witnessed a shooting a few months ago across the st and called the police. My parked car was totaled in August, in front of the apartment by a drunk driver. Daniel ignored my requests for a parking spot and when I asked for the 3rd time to borrow a spot while moving out, he sent a snarky email with a map that had the front of the building circled, I found this extremely rude. I was even being charged for parking when I was never given a pass and disputed it then, “there’s no spaces” They are money hungry and kept half of our deposit when we left a clean apartment, they kept $500 for a broken blind that we did not even break- I firmly believe this was done purposely to keep something. They also waited until the last possible day (21 days by CA law) to send a list of the charges and even then it is not a legit itemized list just, “cleaning fee, repair fee for blinds, filters” (we replaced the air filters) and somehow this amounted to half of our deposit. Overall this deposit debacle has soured my experience and led me to write this review. We asked nicely and waited patiently for a list and they cut our checks the last possible day without allowing us to review it in a proper timeframe. Lucy is unprofessional as well and was extremely rude when texting us about guests, this issue only occurred when the guests were POC. We resolved the issue quickly and stopped allowing our friends to leave through the side door but she continued to bother us. Speaking of Security- I did not feel safe here, I was not aware in the leasing agreement that this building was mostly Airbnb’s, these guests were often left waiting outside for long periods of time and asking to be let in- I believe this was more of a security threat than having someone leave through a side door."
"BEWARE!!!! This building has multiple Airbnbs I just came across 5 postings, was browsing for a family member visiting and half of them are in hat building. Which is honestly a huge safety concern. It’s an unsettling feeling not knowing who is in and out of your building considered high rental rates."
"This facility opened mid-2021 and is super nice! Be advised that they use "dynamic pricing" for their lease rates. Dynamic pricing has pretty much become the standard in downtown San Jose. Dynamic pricing essentially only guarantees their price for a couple days at most so you have to check back once you are ready to commit. In this general area I also looked at 33 S 3rd, Market Gateway and Scotia Apartments. This facility is FAR nicer than 33 S 3rd and significantly nicer than Market Gateway. Scotia is a little older and the architecture is very similar but Scotia does not have ground floor retail and is located in the middle of an industrial area which was much less attractive for me. The live in property manager is helpful for any repairs and maintenance needs. I'm glad they also quickly resolved the tenant mail delivery situation. Apparently sometimes odd things like that occur when first opening in the midst of a pandemic :o) I hear there may be a nice coffee shop going in the ground floor retail space but I don't know when."
"They had mentioned different lease costs on different days and always mixes up what rooms are available and what are leased now. To top that all off, once we have seen the property and finalized they told us that they don't take Gaurantors (even though I specifically asked on the first call and also visible in the website) and we'll have to pay 12 months rent upfront. Crazy! Its like they're doing me a favor to get an apartment here. Imagine how it would be once your actually in! I strongly suggest you stay away from this place. Angel was amazing tho - extremely sweet and kind and supported as much as possible."
"The staff here are very nice and helpful so far, especially Vichy. She showed us around the unit we were interested in and answered our questions. The manager was also helpful in helping us filling out our forms. Everything looks new and clean."
