Castlemont Arms Apartments

"Ive been here for 2+ years now and would 100% renew my lease if I wasn't traveling so much. The complex is nice, the interior of the apartments are super nice and modern. You can tell they pay attention to detail. The balconies are HUGE and I love that about this place! Nancy is the best property manager I have ever worked with. I literally rave about her to my co-workers and friends lol I recently met the new property manager Harleen and I can tell she's also going to be amazingggg! The apartments seem decently insulated because my electric bill was NEVER high, and I leave my TV on most of the day and leave lights on often. I also run my heater and (portable) AC and it was always low. A few cons, the water gets shut off pretty often. Luckily they usually give you a notice and they are usually done before the estimated time frame. The elevator at 1154 is a little sketchy sometimes. It shakes crazy sometimes and it gives you the impression that you are stuck lol"

"This apartment complex is in a very convenient location and is affordably priced compared to the surrounding apartments. Maintenance is quick to resolve issues and they also upkeep the building. There is assigned parking and the building is secure. They have cameras monitoring the entire complex. The apartment manager, Nancy, is very nice, easy going, and fair. I never had noise issues with my neighbors but your mileage may vary. I haven't had mail or packages go missing because they are delivered behind a locked door. I forgot about a package for a week and it was still there. There is a small gym and they just redid the swimming pools. If there were two issues that could be resolved, it is the plumbing and windows. I think the building has galvanized steel plumbing and it is reaching end of life. There are occasionally water shutoffs or minor leaks. The water shutoffs were never for more than a couple hours though, and I was never home for them. The other issue I found is that the windows can be a bit drafty since they're older single pane. I enjoyed living there and thought it was a good value. I would live here again. I got my security deposit back minus a cleaning fee. Having been through two renewals, they didn't raise the rent, and I liked that they don't use a dynamic rent pricing algorithm."

"I lived here with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it. For Sunnyvale the price is amazing. The management company was also constantly adding upgrades. During my time there, they added a tennis table, swing sets, better gym gear to the gym, and more. It's in an awesome area, and the manager, Nancy, is really awesome. It's such a safe place, people will leave their packages in the lobby for a week+ and it never gets stolen. I really loved it here and would lease it again :)"

"Not a good place to live. This complex is old and next to a very busy shopping center and very noisy. The plumbing is old and the management shuts down the water to the buildings for repair constantly. Managers are not interested in replying to your requests once you sign a lease. Most people leave this complex after their lease expires. -Most units do not have AC. -Carpets are cheap and you feel like you are walking on sand paper all day when waling in the apartment. -Windows are old and you get cold breeze coming out of bedroom windows. -The worse part of living there for me was waking up in the morning to the sound of garbage truck followed by delivery trucks annoying beeping noise when backing up! -Both 1120 and 1154 blocks have the shopping center noise, I guess the noise. The only good thing about this apartment is that you can walk to grocery stores, has easy access to highways. Do yourself a favor and spend a few dollars a month more and live in a quiet, neighborhood with quality appliances, carpets, windows."
